TOPIC: Jesus Christ Perfected Everything (TREM Devotional 9 September 2025)
“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” – Romans 5:19 KJV
MESSAGE:
By Adam’s disobedience, humanity was plunged into sin. But by the obedience of Jesus Christ, all who believe are made righteous. Notice this: you are not righteous because you did good or kept the law, you are righteous solely because of the obedience of Jesus. His obedience is perfect; yours never will be.
If you truly want to overcome sin, stop focusing on yourself and begin to see yourself in Christ. His beauty is your beauty. His victory is your victory. His defeat of sin is your defeat of sin. When God looks at you, He does not see iniquity, because every sin, from the day you were born until the day you leave this world has already been placed on Christ. That’s why He died once and for all.
At the cross, God gathered the full weight of humanity’s sin and judgment and laid it on His Son. And when Christ cried, “It is finished!” He meant it. The debt was paid in full. The case against you is closed, and there is no appeal.
This is the greatest gift: Christ bore the debt you could not pay, the pain you could not endure, the sickness, disease, poverty, and frustration you could not carry. He took it all upon Himself. Now, there is no more wrath left for you. No judgment remains for you. It has all been poured out on Jesus.
You stand today discharged, and acquitted because Jesus perfected everything.
