Wisdom For The Day Devotional 2 April 2025 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Jesus Did It All
TOPIC: Jesus Did It All (TREM Devotional 2 April 2025)
“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.” (Isaiah 53:4 KJV)
MESSAGE:
Our text makes it very clear that Jesus, by Himself carried our sorrows. And if He carried it, then you don’t have it. It has been carried and it is no longer on you. According to the scriptures, “…The punishment [required] for our well-being fell on Him, And by His stripes (wounds) we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5 AMP)
Your wellbeing includes peace, prosperity, abundance, completeness, sound mind and health. All these are what His death accomplished for you. You have complete peace, and therefore, I rebuke every sorrow in your life. Christ took care of it. All the benefits are yours because Jesus already paid the price. So why are you still carrying it about? This is why you need understanding and knowledge. Without understanding you will be limited.
Understanding is the right interpretation of knowledge. Your interpretation will determine your application of knowledge. If wrongly interpreted, you will not receive the benefit. Therefore, understanding is crucial and key in your relationship with God.
Consequently, understand that you were in bondage to sickness and disease and placed under the devil because of the sin of the first Adam. But I am glad that it was not only the first Adam that lived. The last Adam came to give a deadly blow to sin and the devil, and to free us from every bondage. So you can declare that God loves you in spite of the mess. He knew your mess and still loves you. He has made provision for your deliverance. You are no longer under the hold of the devil. You have been delivered and translated into the kingdom of His son. You are now a world overcomer. You are a winner on every side. You can sing and rejoice because the devil has no power over you.
