TREM Devotional – Let The Word Dwell In You Richly

Dr. Mike Okonkwo TREM

TREM Devotional 28 January 2022 Daily Devotional By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Let The Word Dwell In You Richly

TOPIC: Let The Word Dwell In You Richly

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16 (KJV)

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly” not sparsely! Richly feed on the word. Let the word dwell. Let the promises of God dwell. The promises are yea and amen in Christ. The Word must dwell in you richly because those are the weapons you use when the enemy comes against you like a flood. The Word in you is what you will speak when the devil shows up. The Word of God declares in Proverbs 4:20-22: “My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them amid thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh”. Child of God attends to the Word of Christ. In other words, pay very close attention to the scriptures. Focus on what God has said. Keep them amid your heart. Hide the word in your heart. That is how to get the word to dwell in you richly.

According to the book of Proverbs 18:20: “A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.”. Did you see that? This is why it is vitally important that the Word of Christ dwells in you. What is in you is what you will speak. And what you speak is what will satisfy you and with the increase of your lips shall you be filled. And remember that out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. So if the mouth is filled with the wrong things, those are the things you will speak and those are the things you will reap.

A lot of people are reaping the wrong things. And the question is what are you speaking when the enemies attack you with symptoms? What did you say about yourself when you faced challenging situations? What did you say about yourself when it looked as if there was no way out? “A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his lips and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled”
