TOPIC: Righteousness Is God’s Dna In You (TREM Devotional 16 June 2025)
“For He hath made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:17 KJV)
MESSAGE:
What is righteousness? It is right standing with God. In other words, being able to stand right in the presence of God, without any sense of guilt, shame or sin. Beloved, if you have received Christ, you are not standing wrongly before the Father anymore. After Adam sinned, he lost his boldness and ran from the very source that could help him. However, in Christ, we have been given the gift to stand right before the One whose name is Holy.
Righteousness is God’s DNA in you. As a child of God, you carry His DNA. Righteousness is being able to stand before God as if sin does not exist. Sin is no longer an issue for you as a believer in Christ because you do not have the nature of sin. The day you received Christ, sin died to you, and you died to sin, therefore, you are not a sinner. Now, I did not say you did not do sin; you might have, because despite having a regenerated Spirit after Christ, you still live in the flesh and are under its limitations You must separate your personality from your actions. Your personality is not your action. They are two different things.
Righteousness is being able to stand without condemnation, accusation, judgment, inferiority complex or intimidation before God. You are bold to stand before the Father knowing that you will receive answers to prayer, because the whole of heaven is behind you. How will you feel knowing that anywhere you go, you have the protocol of heaven at your disposal? Wouldn’t it change the way you carry yourself?
Righteousness makes you bold before God and even before the devil. You are bold to rebuke the devil, and see him flee! That is what you need at this time. A holy audacity! God has given you unmerited, unearned, and undeserved favour. You carry it on your life. He has additionally endowed you with the gift of no condemnation. Righteousness is your DNA; you have been discharged and acquitted, the case is closed and there is no appeal. Celebrate your righteousness.
