Wisdom For The Day Devotional 18 June 2025 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Sin Has Been Taken Out
TOPIC: Sin Has Been Taken Out (TREM Devotional 18 June 2025)
“For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in flesh: (Romans 8:3 KJV)
MESSAGE:
Paul asked in Romans 6:1, shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? How can we continue in sin when sin has been taken out? We are dead to sin, and so we cannot live in sin any longer (Romans 6:2). We now have the eternal life of God within us, and that life gravitates towards God. Hence, it is abnormal for the Believer to dwell in sin.
In the book of 1 John 3:9 (KJV), the Word of God says, “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.” What is inside you is the zoe life of God, and the life of God cannot sin.
Why then are you still struggling with sin? You see, before you gave your heart to Christ, all the negative information regarding how you have been living is still stored inside you like a computer. The software is there, and that software will always produce what is inside it. So, now that you are born again, you must begin to reprogram your mind with the Word of God. It is called mind renewal, which brings about outward transformation.
As you renew your mind, every day you are being transformed, from one level of glory to another. This process will never end until Jesus comes. On a daily basis, you must continue to receive information from God. The Word of God gives you a new programming, revealing what your true image is. It tells you who you are and who you are not. It tells you that you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a peculiar person, and a holy nation. The Word tells you that you are strong, you are healed, you have no fear, and you can do all things because you have everything you need to become anything in life.
