TREM Devotional – Stop Doing And Start Receiving

Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 28 May 2025 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Stop Doing And Start Receiving

TOPIC: Stop Doing And Start Receiving (TREM Devotional 28 May 2025)

“For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.” (Hebrews 4:15 KJV)

MESSAGE:

Jesus knows what you are going through. He is your High Priest. He is the intermediary between God and you. Your part is to believe in what He has done and not to start doing again. Don’t reinvent the wheel. That is why we are called believers. All things are possible to him who believes. Believe the healing He gave to you through His death, burial, and resurrection. If you find God’s promise in the Bible, it is for you.

You are not a human doing, you are a human being. You cannot do what humans do if you are not first a human being. It is ‘being’ first. Being what God said you are, then you can do. If you do not first accept it, you cannot become it. It is not by struggling to do it to become it. You have to believe first. When God made man, He made him first in His image and after His likeness. In other words, since God is a Spirit, man was made a spirit.

Beloved, stop doing and start receiving. You are the righteousness of God in Christ. If you are a child of God who has received Christ into his heart, you are already holy. You are not going to be holy. The issue of heaven is settled.

The Bible says in Ephesians 2:5-6 (KJV), “Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ; and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” You are already seated. So why are you wondering whether you will go to heaven or not? Only those who do not have Christ will not go to heaven, at the sound of the trumpet.

If you are reading this and have not yet received Christ in your life, this is my invitation to you, to do so. It will be my greatest joy to lead you to Him, so that you can begin to enjoy the newness of life and peace that only Jesus can give. This is the greatest day of your life. Say this short prayer;

Prayer Of Salvation
Heavenly Father, I come to you today, acknowledging my sin and my need for a Saviour. Lord Jesus, I believe that You came into this world for my sake, to pay the price I could not pay. I believe that You were crucified for my sins, buried, and on the third day, raised again to life for my justification.

Therefore, I receive You into my life, as my Lord and personal Saviour. I walk in newness of life. Thank You, Lord Jesus, for saving me. Amen.

If you prayed the Prayer of Salvation, please send us a message via email – trem@trem.org. It will be our pleasure to help you on this new journey of faith. Heaven rejoices over you.
