Topic: Stop Focusing On Symptoms [TREM Devotional 20 March 2019]
“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18 KJV
Stop looking at the things which the devil is bringing against your life because whatsoever he is doing or showing you is for a moment. It will soon pass. Hold fast to God’s word, meditate on the Word, think on the Word and speak it. Speak it in the morning, afternoon and night. Soon you will see it manifest.
Fix your mind on the answer not on the problem because “for as he thinketh in his heart so is he…’ (Proverbs 23:7). If you keep on thinking it, you will start acting it. Many of us want to understand how it works but Jesus said, the kingdom of heaven is like when a man sows a seed in the ground; you can’t understand how the seed is springing forth. Hold unto the Word. The Word is eternal but what you are seeing is temporary. The Word made everything that you need. The Word is quick. It has the power to create what you want. So as you keep on speaking the Word and you keep on thinking it, things will begin to change.
Don’t ever believe what the devil is saying. The devil will do his job and he is very active at it. But you also have to learn to do what you are supposed to do. How dare you rise up from the place of the Word and prayer and say nothing is working? That is exactly what he wants you to say. That is exactly the position he wants to place you in. He wants you to begin to doubt God because of your immediate circumstance. You need to understand that the devil operates in the realm of symptoms, circumstances and the flesh. He tells you, ‘Look, nothing has happened! Your situation hasn’t changed!” Don’t fall for his lies.
Don’t believe him. Keep your focus on the Word. The Word has no margin for failure.
