Wisdom For The Day Devotional 27 July 2023 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo: That Problem Will Not Last Forever

TOPIC: That Problem Will Not Last Forever (TREM Devotional 27 July 2023)

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;” 2 Corinthians 4:17 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

The truth about life is that you will always be stressed up, and you will always face anxiety. You will always face difficulties. The fact that you are going through challenges does not mean that God has turned His back on you. The book of 2 Corinthians 4:16(NLT) says: “That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.”

Despite what is happening to you, you shouldn’t faint. I know you are feeling the impact of the pressure of life, but don’t give up. According to the scripture:” …though our outward man perishes and is feeling the impact, we must not faint. God is doing something great in your inward man. There is an inward man. That is our strength! And it is renewed day by day. What you are facing is just for a moment. Apostle Paul calls it light affliction! Whatever you are facing is light. It does not have the strength to destroy you. You know what it is, and you know what to do about it. It is a light affliction and it is for a moment. It cannot unravel the plans of God for your life.

Whatever you are faced with is temporary. It will not last forever. Instead of it destroying you, it is working for you a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. How does it work? While we do not look at things which we see. Stop looking at the symptoms. Stop complaining about the symptoms. Focus on the word! The word is Spirit. And in the realm of the Spirit where we operate as believers, we have everything in abundance. There is no shortage in the Spirit realm.
