Wisdom For The Day Devotional 11 April 2025 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – The Sound Of Abundance
TOPIC: The Sound Of Abundance (TREM Devotional 11 April 2025)
“And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain.” (1 Kings 18:41 KJV)
MESSAGE:
Elijah heard the sound of abundance of rain at a time where there was a severe drought in the land. A time of severe famine, and the meal barrels had run dry. However, because Elijah’s ear was connected to the mouth of God, he was able to know what God has perfected in eternity. He heard the sound of abundance of rain. I can hear the sound of abundance of rain in your life. I hear the sound of breakthrough in your life. I hear the sound of open doors in your life. I hear the sound of elevation in your life. No matter where the devil has put you, you are bouncing back.
What are you hearing? It is critical we hear God today more than anything else. It is very critical and crucial, more especially given all that is happening in our world today. If you are not hearing God, you will miss God. You see, events are really happening in quick succession, and in a manner that makes you ask how do I even pray? Beloved, you need to put your ears to the mouth of God, and know what He is saying.
I am not hearing what others are hearing. I hear the sound of progress and the sound of increase. I hear the sound of multi-millionaires. I hear the sound of billionaires. I hear the sound of people who have received the fruit of the womb, and people whose wives are delivering babies. I hear the sound of marital breakthrough and the sound of the keys to your own houses. Do you hear the sound?
God is always speaking. The devil’s assignment is to make sure you do not hear. He jumps on your shoulder and his voice becomes loudest. If care is not taken the still small voice that says ‘this is the way, walk in it’ (Isaiah 30:21), will be silenced and you will not hear. MAY the Lord open your ears to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to you.
