Topic: What Is Ahead Of You Is Greater Than What Is Behind You [Thursday June 7, 2018]
“The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the LORD of hosts: and in this place will I give peace saith the LORD of hosts.” Haggai 2:9
Have you ever seen a driver who is moving forward with his face turned to the back? It’s not possible, except the driver wants to have a fatal accident. So how then do we think we can move forward if we keep looking behind? Yes, I know you might have made some mistakes, you may have missed it at some point, but the Bible lets us know that where sin abounds, His grace abounds much more.
Beloved, it’s high time you looked ahead with anticipation. God wants to do some amazing things, but how ready are you? How prepared are you to receive what God is about to do? Isaiah 43:18-19 tells us to forget the former things, don’t dwell on it. Why? Because I will do a new thing, it will spring forth. I will make rivers in the desert, and roads in the wilderness. This is the Word of the Lord to us. But, if we do not yield to the instruction in verse 18, we will miss out on the new thing that God wants to do. God wants to make a way where there is no way, God wants to make impossibilities possible, God wants to give you a mind-blowing testimony, but you must make up your mind to focus on what is ahead. Stop looking behind you, the interesting thing about the past is that you cannot do anything about it, it has already happened. So, why waste your time dwelling on it? That is the lie of the enemy, to hinder you from moving forward, but you must not succumb to it. Greater things are ahead of you. Glorious things are ahead of you.
I declare to you that you will attain all that God has purposed for your life. Nothing will hinder you in Jesus’ name. I will hear your testimony.
