Wisdom For The Day Devotional 18 July 2024 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – You Are Righteous Even If You Don’t Feel Like It
TOPIC: You Are Righteous Even If You Don’t Feel Like It (TREM Devotional 18 July 2024)
“For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.’’ Romans 5:17 (KJV)
MESSAGE:
You have received an abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness, and you are called to reign. What do you think this means? It means that you are the one in charge! And it is not by what you have done or could do, but by what Jesus Christ did. Yes, you are righteous, even if you don’t feel like it. It is not about how you feel.
Forget about all the things you have done wrong because God does not see them. He can’t see them because He sees you in Christ. Don’t let the devil jump on your shoulder and remind you of what you did not do right. Don’t look at what you did wrong, but rather at what Jesus did right. Look at what He has done and made you and say: ‘Yes’ to Him. That is the reason why He shed His blood on the cross at Calvary. His blood made a way for you. That is why you can come boldly to the throne room of grace to obtain mercy and find grace to help in times of need. The truth remains that He bled on that old rugged cross to wash away your past, present, and future sins.
Beloved, begin to see yourself differently based on the finished work in your life. God’s love is bigger and more powerful than the worst sin you have or could ever commit. You are valuable to Him, and He loves you dearly. So rather than run away from Him, you must run towards Him. Stop walking around with your head bowed down with guilt and condemnation. You are free, justified, holy, and without blame. The devil can no longer hold you down. It has all been paid for. Your salvation was fully paid for. Your health was fully paid for. Your victory is assured in Him.
