Topic: Your Position And Authority In Him [Saturday, March 11th]
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:6).*_
The Wuest translation gives an excellent rendering of Ephesians 1:21. It tells us that Jesus is _*“over and above every government and authority and power and lordship and every name that is constantly being named, not only in this age, but also in the one about to come.”*_ There’s so much that we can do when we apply the deep truth revealed in the verse above. Many Christians have been quiet about too many things, living as though they’re hamstrung or victims in life. If only they’d discover their position and ability in Christ, the glory and power they wield in His Name, things will be different.
We’re seated with Christ in the place of power, in a position of authority. This isn’t a fairy tale. We have His dominion. He’s given you the legal right, as well as the ability to use His Name as an instrument. That Name is greater than every government, or institution, name or title that could be conferred, both in this world and in the world to come. Jesus Christ is LORD over all, and the God of all flesh.
With this knowledge, you can, and should, put a stop to the wars, epidemics, wickedness, perils, and havocs the devil and his cohorts concoct around the world. Psalm 46:9 says, _*“He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth….”*_ Putting a stop to these things is simple. Jesus said, _*“Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven”*_ (Matthew 18:19). Put this to work.
We’re the ones in charge! Use the authority and power of His Name in the prayer of agreement to make your life glorious. Use it to install peace in your home, neighbourhood, city, and country. Use it to carry out the works of righteousness, and establish the will of God in your world. Come together with a fellow believer or maybe your spouse and agree on something you want done, or a situation you want changed. Decree in the Name of Jesus, the specific changes you want, on the basis of your position and authority in Christ, and you’ll have a testimony. Glory to God!

*Dear Father, I thank you for my position, authority and ability in Christ! I’m seated with Christ in heavenly places, far above all the hardships, troubles, perils and corrupting influences in the world. I dominate and triumph over circumstances today and always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*
