Never Stop Trying ~ Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor

Topic: Never Stop Trying [January 4, 2017]

“The Lord our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, ye have dwelt long enough in this moment.” (Deuteronomy 1:6)

The children of Israel sat for long time in a place called Horeb weeping. They complained out of frustration, cried out of depression and remained in gloominess in the place of degradation.

The reason a lot of Christians are in the place they are is because they feel comfortable there. They do not see any reason why they should move to the next level of life. Some Christians are where they are either because they lack knowledge or because they are confused. Israel as a nation was confused, not knowing what to do. See the divine instruction they got from God: “Turn you, and take your journey, and go to the mount of the Amorites, and unto all the places nigh there unto…” (Deut. 1:7a)

God told the children of Israel that they had sojourned in the place of rejection, frustration and confusion for too long and that they should move on. In other words, they should move forward. By extension, you might be at a place of confusion and in a state of giving up. All that comes to your mind is to give up. But hear what God says I should tell you: “Move forward.” In other words, try again. Failing at a thing does not make you a failure. Not even failing several times at various things makes you a failure. You become a failure only when you give up. All failure is saying to you is, “This thing does not work the way you have done it. Go and find the right way.”

There could be a gang-up against you just to make sure that they stop you, but because the hand of the Lord is upon your life, I declare that you are unstoppable.

WORDS OF WISDOM: That you failed once does not make you a failure.
