A Man Of Wisdom ~ Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor

Topic: A Man Of Wisdom [Sunday March 5, 2017]

“… and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams. “ (Acts 2:17)

Joseph was seventeen years old when he had his dream. Vision is the ability to imagine. Dream is the ability to turn your imagination into pictures. When your imagination becomes pictures, it means it is possible. The above passage restricts dreams to old people. But here was Joseph at 17, dreaming. Do you know why? God gave him speed.

Joseph’s brothers hated and envied him because of his dream. When you have a dream, people are going to hate and envy you. Hatred and envy follow dreams and produce criticisms (not bad if constructive) and conspiracies. The bigger the dream, the more the hatred.

Joseph’s brothers conspired to kill him in order to kill his dream, but they failed. I can imagine how much you have suffered because of your dream. O, how many nights you have cried! But  wipe your tears. “Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5) Do not prolong your tears for more than a night. Now that it is morning, dream a new dream.

No conspiracy can hinder you. Let them gather. They will scatter for your sake. Shame will not be your portion. In Genesis 42:6, because of the wisdom Joseph obtained from the altar, the same people who sold him helped him actualize his dream. Everything that has been against you in life will come to bow before you.

WORD OF WISDOM: Do not prolong your tears for more than a night.

PRAYER/CONFESSION: In the name of Jesus, LORD, satisfy me early. All those who have conspired to kill my dream, scatter them, in Jesus’ name.
