Popular Nigerian Gospel juju musician, Babatunde John Olaniyan popular as Olababs releases his sophomore studio album titled “Celebration Hymn Medley.

The 2-track album serves as Olababs second studio album. Being a Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) member for over three decades, Babatunde John Olaniyan grew up listening to and singing lots of hymns in the church which resulted in fascinating love for hymnals.

Speaking further on his interest in Hymns, Olababs says, “I noticed many pentecostal churches nowadays sings little or no hymns at all. These inspired me to do a medley and collections of the inspirational hymns in an African juju percussion groove style considering that hymn reading sessions in churches can sometimes be boring, so we spice it up with the danceable rhythm.”

Ola is a great stage performer, his musical journey started when he performed at naming ceremonies and Praise Nights (church concerts) around Aguda, oke-ira, ifako and its environs [a Lagos suburb]. And he has continued to thrill his audience and fans ever since. His style of music is Gospel Juju.
