Topic: Benefits Of Two In Prayers [Monday January 16, 2017]
“Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.” (Acts 12:1)
Please serve God properly. Don’t serve God with excess baggage. And don’t go back to all those evil things you have stopped doing. Let me show you why:
“Now about that time Herod stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.” (Acts 12:1)
Herod stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the Church. Herod is symbolic of the devil. The people that Satan went for were not floor members of the church. He picked on major players. He targeted people that made things happen and went after them.
Vexed in this context means to torment, oppress, or afflict. Once again, those targeted by Herod were people who refused to destroy the Church, those who stood with the man of God to move things forward.
The first person Herod picked on was James, and before the church knew it, he had killed him. He stretched his hands again, and who did he go for? Peter! He threw Peter in jail. But when you look at Acts 12:5, the Church prayed without ceasing for Peter. The Church was the other person that Peter had.
The devil will not destroy your James and Peter, in Jesus’ name. The helper that will make you ‘two’ will show up in your life this month. And having shown up, he or she will never stop praying for you until you overcome your challenges. In addition, your church will be there for you.

Word of Wisdom: Satan is not after floor members but major players.
Prayer/Confession: Whosoever wants to destroy my ardent supporters, Father destroy them before they strike, in Jesus name.
