Following the critical acclaim of his breakthrough album “The Redeemed,” released in late 2024, Nigerian gospel powerhouse Jlyricz delivers “Jesus Boy,” a seven-track EP that further cements his position as one of the most prolific voices in Africa’s flourishing Christian music scene.
Released on April 30, via digital platforms worldwide, “Jesus Boy” arrives as more than a collection of songs—it presents as a cohesive artistic statement that seamlessly blends traditional African worship elements with modern production sensibilities.
“This EP represents a spiritual journey that began with ‘The Redeemed’ but takes listeners to entirely new territory,” Jlyricz shared during an exclusive listening session. “Each song reflects a different facet of my relationship with Christ—from reverence to celebration.”
The release follows a meticulously planned rollout that included three strategic single drops “Sweet Daddy,” “Allow Me,” and the unexpectedly bold “Terminator”—each offering distinct glimpses into the EP’s stylistic diversity while building anticipation among an increasingly global fanbase.
Jesus Boy was written, composed and arranged by Jlyricz while production was handled by Spice Kay.
“Jesus Boy” is available now on all major streaming platforms.
