TREM Devotional – Connect To The Anointing

Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 30 April 2024 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Connect To The Anointing

TOPIC: Connect To The Anointing (TREM Devotional 30 April 2024)

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.” Psalm 133:1-3 (KJV).

MESSAGE:

I am convinced that there is much more that God wants to give to you. The truth is that you have seen nothing yet. There is much more. But are you connected? Are you connected to the anointing?

When God ordains a ministry, He anoints that ministry with gifting. When He raises a man, He anoints that man, and that anointing draws people. And as the people connect to the anointing, the same begins to manifest in different areas of their lives. If I put oil on my head and it drips down to my toe, the oil on my toe is not different in quality from the oil on my head. It is the same quality. So, if it is the same quality, it has to produce the same result, whether on the toe or the head.

There are massive things that God is revealing that He wants to manifest through the Church. Your part is to remain connected so that you can partake of the glory. Stop jumping from place to place! Connect to the anointing that God has placed you under so that you can attain the height that He has ordained for you.

Stop looking at what is happening elsewhere. Align yourself! The neck cannot do the work of the head. That is an error! Do what you are told to do! Don’t ignore instructions. That is how to maximize the anointing.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Danger Of Wrong Company

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 1 May 2024 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: The Danger Of Wrong Company

TOPIC: The Danger Of Wrong Company (Seeds Of Destiny 1 May 2024)

SCRIPTURE: Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners. 1 Corinthians 15:33.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Wrong association corrupts destiny; wrong association ruins destiny.

MESSAGE:

You are welcome to the month of May in 2024, our year of Above-Only Existence!

In this month, God shall reveal Himself to you in a greater measure, in Jesus’ Name.

Many years ago, I know of a firebrand young man who married a young lady. However, this lady did not believe in the move of God.

After a while, the lady told this young man that he was attending church services too much, and that he should stop going for church services. Meanwhile, church was responsible for many good things that happened in their lives. Unfortunately, the man listened to his wife’s counsel and stopped going to church as regularly as he was doing before.

After a while, the man backslid totally and started drinking alcohol. Not long after that, both of them began to quarrel and fight. They fought to the point that they used broken bottles on each other.

As their marital crisis continued, this young man lost his Christian identity and salvation, divorced his wife and married another one.

Beloved, can you see the outcome of wrong association?
1 Corinthians 15:33 says,
Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

Wrong association corrupts destiny; wrong association ruins destiny. Wrong association aborts destiny.

Beloved, many people have gone to hell because of wrong association. Many destinies have been aborted because of wrong association. Many people have died untimely because of wrong association.

Be mindful of your association. Choose your friends carefully. We are commanded to love everyone, but never commanded to relate with everyone. Do not value any association at the expense of your destiny and eternity.

Remember this: Wrong association corrupts destiny; wrong association ruins destiny.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Associate carefully and prayerfully.
  2. Do not value any association at the expense of your destiny and eternity.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to choose my association carefully, thoughtfully and prayerfully. I receive the grace not to be a victim of wrong association, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: Watch your Association. People die before their time because of who they call friends. Culled from the book, “15 KINGDOM STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Job 19-21.

AMAZING FACT: In the human body, a single square inch of skin has about 300 sweat glands.

PROPHETIC WORD (DECLARATION): The Lord cut off the wrong association from your life in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – “Excellence In Labour”

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 1 May 2024 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — “Excellence In Labour”

TOPIC: “Excellence In Labour” (DCLM Daily Manna 1 May 2024)

KEY VERSE: “And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you” (1 Thessalonians 4:11).

TEXT: 1 Thessalonians 4:9-12 (KJV)

9 But as touching brotherly love ye need not that I write unto you: for ye yourselves are taught of God to love one another.

10 And indeed ye do it toward all the brethren which are in all Macedonia: but we beseech you, brethren, that ye increase more and more;

11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;

12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.

MESSAGE:

John Garner, a former U.S. Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare once asserted that “An excellent plumber is infinitely more valuable than an incompetent philosopher. The society which scorns excellence in plumbing because it is a humble activity and tolerates shoddiness in philosophy because it is an exalted activity will have neither good plumbing nor good philosophy; neither its pipes nor its theories will hold water.”

Garner’s observation agrees with what may be regarded as the Christian work ethic in today’s text. The Thessalonian Christians were exemplary in their zeal and commitment to the Lord. In this regard, their fame spread and they were highly commended by Apostle Paul. However, it would appear that some of their converts under the pretext of religion waxed idle and resorted to gossiping and meddling in the affairs of others. While exhorting them to commit more to brotherly love, the Apostle condemned the attitude of such lazy, beggarly and busybody fellows in the church. He directed that they should hold their peace, mind their business and have honest means of livelihood instead of depending on other church members.

This instruction is consistent with several other Scriptures that uniformly teach that a Christian must not only work diligently but should have an eye for excellence at work. An idle or lazy Christian is a contradiction in terms and it does not matter how fluent or prayerful he boasts. This is for every Christian except for brethren who are incapacitated by ailment, old age or other uncontrollable factors.

Idling away and depending on others for sustenance is not acceptable. There is dignity in labour. Find a legitimate, profitable and productive activity and do it excellently “as to the Lord”.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Laziness and idleness can never attract God’s blessing no matter their colours.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Be A Pleasant Personality; Exude Love

Pastor Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 30 April 2024 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Be A Pleasant Personality; Exude Love

TOPIC: Be A Pleasant Personality; Exude Love (Seeds Of Destiny 30 April 2024)

SCRIPTURE: He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. – 1 John 4:8.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To be godly is to be like God; and to be like God is to be like love.

MESSAGE:

In our world today, many people want to hang around a pleasant personality. Many people want to come close to a person whose atmosphere exudes love, joy, kindness and happiness. No one wants to be around a person whose atmosphere exudes hate, anger and unforgiveness.

It is very important to make up your mind to be someone that people want to hang around with.

This is my own thinking: my relationship with my wife, children, and other family members should give them an idea of how God looks and acts.

Sometime ago, I told my children, “Do not ever shrink back from asking me for anything you want. If you need it, and I have it, you don’t have to beg for it.”

I do not want my children to beg me for what they need because I do not want to go before God and beg Him. I want to be able to walk to God with boldness. He is my Heavenly Father and I should be able to ask Him for anything I need, and He should be able to do it for me. I should be able to step into His Presence and enjoy His Presence.

Once in a while, my wife comes into the closet where I pray, and sits down.
One day, she came to the closet and I asked her, “What are you doing here?”
She said, “I just came to be towed in this ‘anointmosphere.” I want to just partake in this ‘anointmosphere.”

There are men whose wives cannot come near them.
When their wives come close to them, they would ask, “What are you doing here? You came to ask for something? Can’t you respect my privacy?”

Beloved, godliness is God-likeness; to be godly is to be like God. And to be like God is to be like love. It is delusional to claim to be godly and be hateful.

Beloved, please be “Godful” by being love-filled. Confirm your godliness by your loveliness.
Be a pleasant personality to hang around with by exuding love, the Nature of God.

REMEMBER THIS: To be godly is to be like God; and to be like God is to be like love.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to be a pleasant and loving personality that people can hang around with.
  2. Dispel from your life, every negative character that makes people run away from you.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You make me a kind and loving person for people to hang around with. Remove from life, every kind of attitude that repels people from me, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE PLAGUE OF LOVELESSNESS (PART ONE).

QUOTE: Bitterness is a state of resentfulness. It is an intense or very striking, deep-seated feeling of anger. It is an in-depth feeling of hurt which normally arises due to a bad or negative experience; where a person feels he or she has been treated unjustly; or in a way not deserved. Bitterness is normally a painful, emotional, and unpleasant condition of the heart arising from a hurt. Culled from the book, “Am I Bitter?” by Dr Mrs Becky Paul-Enenche.

DAILY READING: Job 16-18.

AMAZING FACT: The eye is the fastest muscle in your body – which is why we say when something happens quickly, ‘in the blink of an eye!

PROPHETIC WORD (DECLARATION):
The Spirit of God robe you with the climate of love in this season, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – The Power Of “It Is Written”

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 30 April 2024 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — The Power Of “It Is Written”

TOPIC: The Power Of “It Is Written” (DCLM Daily Manna 30 April 2024)

KEY VERSE: “Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve” (Matthew 4:10).

TEXT: Matthew 4:1-11 (KJV)

1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.

3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

5 Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,

6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

8 Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

9 And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

11 Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.

MESSAGE:

On October 7, 1857, C. H. Spurgeon preached to his largest audience ever. A few days before the event, Spurgeon had gone to the huge hall to test the acoustics. Stepping into the pulpit, he lifted up his voice like a silver trumpet and proclaimed, “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” Then Spurgeon repeated the one verse again: “Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!” Satisfied with the acoustics, he left and went his way. Unknown to him, there were two men working in the rafters of that large auditorium. One of the men was pricked in his conscience by the verse Spurgeon quoted and became a believer later that day! Such is the penetrating power of God’s eternal word!

In today’s text, Satan attempted to trick our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ three times to surrender to his evil antics. Three times, Jesus spoke the Word and shut down the devil’s suggestions.

While it may not be wrong for Jesus to perform these miracles demonstrating divine unction after forty days and forty nights of fasting, the result will not glorify God but the enemy of all that is righteous.

We must never forget that Jesus repudiated the devil with the written word of God. As children of God, the devil will attempt to lure us into sin as he did our Master; but like the Lord, we should use the Word to counter his effronteries. As Jesus got victory over the devil, we are assured of comprehensive victory too if we also firmly and confidently resist him with God’s living, active and wonder-working Word. There is power in the Word!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Use the awesome power that resides in the word of God.

TREM Devotional – Keep The Fire Burning

Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 29 April 2024 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Keep The Fire Burning

TOPIC: Keep The Fire Burning (TREM Devotional 29 April 2024)

“The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.” Leviticus 6:13 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

According to the scriptures, the fire upon the altar shall not be put out. It shall ever be burning upon the altar. The Word of God is telling you that your fire ought not to go out. The fire should be burning. In other words, the fervency, the zeal, and the passion must continue. It must not stop. Your fire must ever be burning!

It was written concerning Christ in the scriptures: “For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; And the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.” Psalm 69:9 (KJV). When His disciples saw Him go into the Temple to drive out those who were merchandising in the temple, they remembered what was written prophetically concerning Him. John 1:17 (KJV).

Are you still eaten up by the zeal for the things of God? Is the zeal still there? Keeping the fire burning requires that we continue steadfastly in what we have been taught. It requires that we constantly participate in fellowship with fellow believers. “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.” Acts 2:41-42 (KJV).

It is time to let the fire return. You are a part of God’s global agenda. You cannot afford to be docile and lukewarm. I declare that you will take your place. You will recover all!

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Love Nature Of God

Pastor Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 29 April 2024 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: The Love Nature Of God

TOPIC: The Love Nature Of God (Seeds Of Destiny 29 April 2024)

SCRIPTURE: He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. – 1 John 4:8.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You cannot dwell in God’s Presence and not be overwhelmed by love.

MESSAGE:

It has been established that nearness to God equals fullness of love. You cannot dwell in God’s Presence and not be overwhelmed by love.

One way to remain in love and radiate love is to dwell in God’s Presence. This is because God is love. When you dwell with God in prayer and in the Word, His love nature gets practically and literally transmitted to you.

In my own life, many times, after prayers, I come out from the Presence of the Lord smiling with my arms wide open. I open my arms to my wife and children for embrace.

And my wife would always tell me, “Go back there! Go back to where you are coming from. Go and remain there”.

The truth is, it is a lie when you say you know God and you do not have love. It is a lie!
I do not care what your title is. You may be a pastor, deacon, bishop or head of a department; if you do not know love, you do not know God.

Many times, I cannot understand how a man would lift his hand to slap his wife. It is a proof of lack of love. And if you want to fight, it is better to go to the motor park because there are many people there looking for a fight.

Some men even shout and scream at their wives to the point that their wives begin to vibrate. If God should scream at you like that, will you survive it? The character of hate and anger that many people display is proof that they are far from God. Even if you have anger challenges and you decide to go close to God, the Presence of God would take that anger away.

There was a time the man of God, Smith Wigglesworth of Blessed Memory, would always boil with rage, when he hadn’t known God, especially against his wife. But came to the knowledge of God, God took that anger away and replaced it with a tender and loving heart.

Beloved, always remember that nearness to God equals fullness of love. To contact the Love of God, you will need to find your way to the Presence of God, which is the Presence of Love.

REMEMBER THIS: You cannot dwell in God’s Presence and not be overwhelmed with love.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to spend time with God. Always give yourself to heartfelt worship.
  2. Let the Word of God dwell richly in you.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask for the grace to dwell in Your Presence. Give me the strength to tarry with You until I absorb Your Nature, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE PLAGUE OF LOVELESSNESS (PART ONE).

QUOTE: My prayer is that you too will live a life of total love, forgiveness and absence of bitterness in Jesus’ name. Culled from the book, “Am I Bitter?” by Dr Mrs Becky Paul-Enenche.

DAILY READING: Job 13-15.

AMAZING FACT: A dog’s nose print is unique, much like a person’s fingerprint.

DCLM Daily Manna – A Critical Choice

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 29 April 2024 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — A Critical Choice

TOPIC: A Critical Choice (DCLM Daily Manna 29 April 2024)

KEY VERSE: “Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him” (Isaiah 3:10,11).

TEXT: Isaiah 3:1-12 (KJV)

1 For, behold, the Lord, the Lord of hosts, doth take away from Jerusalem and from Judah the stay and the staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water.

2 The mighty man, and the man of war, the judge, and the prophet, and the prudent, and the ancient,

3 The captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the cunning artificer, and the eloquent orator.

4 And I will give children to be their princes, and babes shall rule over them.

5 And the people shall be oppressed, every one by another, and every one by his neighbour: the child shall behave himself proudly against the ancient, and the base against the honourable.

6 When a man shall take hold of his brother of the house of his father, saying, Thou hast clothing, be thou our ruler, and let this ruin be under thy hand:

7 In that day shall he swear, saying, I will not be an healer; for in my house is neither bread nor clothing: make me not a ruler of the people.

8 For Jerusalem is ruined, and Judah is fallen: because their tongue and their doings are against the Lord, to provoke the eyes of his glory.

9 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded evil unto themselves.

10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

11 Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

MESSAGE:

A religious sceptic once asked the German reformer, Martin Luther, why God created man when He knew he would sin. Luther, the seminal figure of the Protestant Reformation, replied, “Let us keep clear of these abstract questions and consider the will of God such as it has been revealed to us.” As a learned priest, Luther knew that God was not willing that any should perish (2 Peter 3:9). He also understood God’s desire that man should choose what is right over that which is evil.

God’s proposition, from the creation of the earth, showed that He wants man to obey Him freely, without force. He rewards such free will obedience, punishing disobedience as seen in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3).

Our text chronicles God’s expectations and the abysmal failure of man over the years. As it was in the days of Isaiah, so it is today. Men are still chasing the vanities of life while their lives are fleeting. God cannot be mocked. He diligently rewards the obedient with blessings and those gone astray with just compensation for their sins.

God is always fair to all. If you do what is right, it shall be well with you. For those whose choice is wrongdoing, God will never permit the unrighteous to go free. The only way out is to repent of all sins, forsake all evil ways and make Jesus your Lord and Saviour. Again, the choice is yours:

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live” (Deuteronomy 30:19).

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
God is always fair to all. He rewards what is right and punishes what is wrong.

Lyrics: Bigger Than By Sinach

Through a thousand generations
You are true to Your Word
Through seasons and ages
You are faithful indeed
Through a thousand generations
You are true to Your Word
Through seasons and ages
You are faithful indeed

You are bigger than I could ever imagine
You are better than I could ever
dream of
You are bigger than I could ever imagine
You are better than I could ever
dream of

Jesus You are
Jesus You are
Jesus You are
Jesus You are

Breathtaking wonders
that’s what what You do
Miracles and blessings
You’re pouring on us
God of wonders
that’s that’s who You are
You keep You promises
Great is Your name

You are bigger than I could ever imagine
You are better than I could ever
dream of
You are bigger than I could ever imagine
You are better than I could ever
dream of

Bigger than the biggest
Better than the best
You are undefeated
You are Jesus

You are bigger than I could ever imagine
You are better than I could ever
dream of
You are bigger than I could ever imagine
You are better than I could ever
dream

Lyrics: Sing Over Me By Dunsin Oyekan

Intro
Lift your hands like a funnel and just bless Him
When we lift our hands, to me it looks like
We are creating a funnel for Him to fill us up
Yeah
To me, it looks like a connection between heaven and heart
Just bless Him in tongues, sing in the Spirit
Speaks in tongues
Lift your hands and sing to Him

Verse
I know
That worship is about the song You want to hear
Not the one I want to sing
I’m here so You can sing over me
And I’ll sing it back to You
I know
That worship is about the song You want to hear
Not the one I want to sing
Jesus, I’m here so You can sing over me
And I’ll sing it back to You

Chorus
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh
I worship in spirit and truth (Shaba)
Oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh (Oh oh oh)
I worship in spirit and truth
