DCLM Daily Manna – The Greatest Of All

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 11 September 2023 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — The Greatest Of All

TOPIC: The Greatest Of All (DCLM Daily Manna 11 September 2023)

KEY VERSE: “And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord. And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord” (Acts 9:35, 42).

TEXT: Acts 9:32-43 (KJV)

32 And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda.

33 And there he found a certain man named Aeneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy.

34 And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.

35 And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord.

36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.

37 And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber.

38 And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them.

39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.

40 But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

41 And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.

42 And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord.

43 And it came to pass, that he tarried many days in Joppa with one Simon a tanner.

MESSAGE:

Miracles are God’s interventions in the course of nature. The earthly ministry of Christ was characterised by such events. In the text, we see Apostle Peter perform two notable miracles. These miracles made many believe in Christ at Lydda, Saron and Joppa, where the miracles took place.

Greater than the miracles of having a child after a long delay, healing, deliverance, prosperity and raising the dead is the miracle of the new birth. To believe in Christ and be born of the Spirit of God is the greatest thing that can happen to anyone. The miracle of the new birth showcases the power of God in an unprecedented manner. It quickens a person who had been dead in sins and trespasses to manifest the fruit of the Spirit and to produce the life of Christ.

A person can be healed like Aeneas, without being free from sin; he can be delivered from demonic oppressions and attacks and remain a sinner. A person can even be raised from the dead like Dorcas but without the miracle of the new birth. The person so healed, delivered from attacks or raised from the dead, will be unable to get to heaven without the new birth experience.

The new birth miracle leads you to the kingdom of God. It is the double operations of the word and Spirit in a man’s heart. To believe in miracles is great but profession alone without the experience of the new birth cannot take anyone to heaven. The new birth occasions in man, moral, emotional and spiritual transformation. Faith is very important for the new birth; faith that trusts in the Lord for salvation. The evidence that you are born again is that you live a righteous life. Heaven and your neighbours are bound to notice your new spiritual status. The question is, have you experienced the new birth?

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
The new birth is the greatest miracle of God.

TREM Devotional – Grow Your Spirit

Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 10 September 2023 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Grow Your Spirit

TOPIC: Grow Your Spirit (TREM Devotional 10 September 2023)

“In the same way that nursing infants cry for milk, you must intensely crave the pure spiritual milk of God’s Word. For this “milk” will cause you to grow into maturity, fully nourished and strong for life:” 1 Peter 2:2 (TPT)

MESSAGE:

God desires that you grow spiritually and attain the heights He has planned for you. But until you desire it and work towards it, nothing will happen. The newborn baby eats several times throughout the day. So the bible uses this analogy to paint a picture of how we as believers should desire the Word. It is only the word that can help you grow, teach you to love your neighbors, teach you to forgive, teach you to pray, teach you to have faith, and empower you to live a Godly life.

As we climax the age, evil will continue to increase. It is only the word of God that will enable you to stand amid adversity. Never take any opportunity for spiritual growth for granted. Services, programs, and group activities are avenues to build up your spirit. Be passionate and dedicated to knowing more about the Christian faith. Let nothing be a barrier. Give yourself to fasting and prayer. Study the Word as discipline for your personal growth. God has placed you in a ministry so that you can be impacted, and in turn, impact your world. Don’t take it for granted.

Don’t come to church only on Sundays. Any opportunity that will make you go to church, be there. Take advantage of every opportunity that will make you receive more of the word. Don’t let the devil lie to you that online service is enough. There are things you cannot experience in online service except in physical gatherings. “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” (Colossians 3:16 KJV). In other words, be loaded with the word daily. I pray that your heart will genuinely yearn and thirst for the water of God’s word.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Living For His Purpose And Pleasure

Paul Enenche

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 10 September 2023 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Living For His Purpose And Pleasure

TOPIC: Living For His Purpose And Pleasure (Seeds Of Destiny 10 September 2023)

SCRIPTURE: This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise. Isaiah 43:21.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Living to serve God is living to fulfil the purposes of God; it is living for His pleasure.

MESSAGE:

It has been established that one way to make the most of life is living to worship and serve God.

Living to serve God means living to spend and be spent for God; it is making God the reason and purpose for your existence (Isaiah 43:21).

One of the things that God helped me to do on time was the definition of my purpose for living.

When I got admission to study in the university, I stepped into the university with a purpose and a mission. I knew that I was not on that campus to graduate and be a medical doctor alone; I knew I was on the campus for Ministry. I also recognized that I needed a course, Medicine, to do the Ministry in the university.

Having this in mind, I went to the campus as a fulltime preacher. To me, it looked like I was a full time preacher and a part time student of Medicine. I was very serious with the preaching of the Gospel. I would wake up early in the morning for Morning cries. I preached in buses. I embarked on fasting and prayer programs, travelled across the nation of Nigeria from one campus to another to preach the Gospel as President of the Medical Students’ Fellowship of Nigeria, known then as NCCMDS (Nigerian Conference of Christian Medical and Dental Students).

Despite all these, I did not fail any course. I was not permitted to fail. Otherwise, I would not have a voice to preach to people.

You know, if one fails and continues to preach, people would say, “What is this failure talking about?” I never had one re-sit in any of my courses. That is how to live.

Beloved, make up your mind to live for God; live to serve God and His Purposes on earth.

REMEMBER THIS: Living to serve God is living to fulfil the purposes of God; it is living for His pleasure.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to live for the pleasure and purpose of God on earth.
  2. Ask God to tell you what to do; and do what He tells you to do.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace to live for Your pleasure and purpose on earth. Deliver me from every form of selfish and earth-centred living, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: MAKING THE MOST OF LIFE (PART 1).

QUOTE: Without focus there can be no fire. The man who needs fire and passion for whatsoever he has found himself doing needs focus, brutal focus. Culled from the book, “21 FOOLISH THINGS PEOPLE DO” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Daniel 1-3.

AMAZING FACT: The heart of the blue whale, the largest animal on earth, is five feet long and weighs 400 pounds. The whale in total weighs 40,000 pounds.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: The Lord give you a Baptism of the sense of purpose in this season in Jesus’ Name.

Today’s devotional was written by Pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), headquartered at Abuja, Nigeria, with Pastor Paul and Becky Enenche, as the Senior Pastors. It is a power-packed arena where God’s Presence, Principles and Power are at work for the salvation, healing and restoration of human destinies and dignities.

DCLM Daily Manna – Obedience, Not Religion

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 10 September 2023 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Obedience, Not Religion

TOPIC: Obedience, Not Religion (DCLM Daily Manna 10 September 2023)

KEY VERSE: “And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee” (1 Samuel 28:8).

TEXT: 1 Samuel 28:7-15 (KJV)

7 Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and enquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.

8 And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee.

9 And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die?

10 And Saul sware to her by the Lord, saying, As the Lord liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing.

11 Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel.

12 And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou art Saul.

13 And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth.

14 And he said unto her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself.

15 And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do.

MESSAGE:

Often times, many people find it easy to defend themselves. Even when there are obvious lapses, they rationalise such faults; but God sticks to His standard. Saul, the first king of Israel claimed innocence when he brought alive Agag, king of Amorites and some other animals for sacrifice. He had been commanded to utterly destroy every living creature in the city but he did his own will and not God’s. He did not see anything wrong in what he did; he claimed self-righteousness. He lost fellowship with God.

In our text, we read of Saul’s visit to the woman with familiar spirit at Endor. God had refused to answer Saul’s enquiry either by dreams, Urim or the prophets. He became afraid and his heart trembled as he saw the host of the Philistines gathered to war with Israel. He needed late Samuel’s advice on his next move. King Saul had to disguise himself as an ordinary man.

How many people today go about wearing a toga of Christianity without knowing God! There are many disguised people in the church today, who do not hear from God like Saul. They lack close relationship with Christ and only identify with Him by religious observances. They do not see anything wrong with partial or lack of obedience. In times of adversity, such people seek help secretly, like Saul, from sorcerers. Yet, they are known as ‘Christians’ in the fold.

Today, if all you boast of is observance of religious principles and rites, you may be disappointed on the final day. Saul lost it when he disobeyed God; and the Scriptures say disobedience is like the sin of witchcraft; and no disobedient or self-righteous person will enter heaven. Remember, God will not judge on the basis of the standard you set for yourself but on His word and your obedience.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Remove the disguise of religion and be obedient.

About Remilekun

Remilekun was recognised as a talented singer at a very tender age, known for singing covers from Indian blockbuster movies and hymns at daily family prayers. Remilekun naturally evolved into leading Christmas carols, plays, cultural songs and dances at primary school events. She excelled in these activities and became an established lead. She continued leading major events in secondary school where she performed in music concerts and recorded a group choir album.

At University, while studying Chemical Engineering, she won campus awards as the Most Valuable Soloist (female), Best Praise Worship Leader (female) and Best Choir on Campus for her team. She was a two-tenure lead of the praise team for the most populous Christian fellowship on campus and the Choir Leader for the Fellowship of Christian Students (FCS), leading a group of ninety members which increased to about two hundred within that tenure. At the time, many students were inspired to join the choir. Remilekun institutionalised music concerts whenever she had the opportunity to lead. She inspired and influenced her university choir to organise a live-recorded concert in the year 2000.

She went on to lead several choirs in her home church in Nigeria and in London. Remilekun was privileged to mobilise and lead a community choir in Kent, England and was also a Worship Leader in a music and drama group; The Ancient Landmark , renown for creating original plays and song writing. She founded a much beloved teen choir in London, providing mentorship and support to aspiring musicians.

Her music is a blend of genres that transcend a specific category, with flavours from diverse traditions.

Lyrics:  God’s Love By Ignis Voices

Come on jam those hands together for Jesus
If you know you serve an amazing God
His love is overwhelming
His love is everlasting

Somebody scream
Come on put those hands together

Come on

Verse 1:
He’ll never give up on me
(That’s right come on)
Cause I know, I know this love is real
He’ll never give up on believing in me
I’ll praise Him as I go

God’s love for me never dies
(Do I got some witness)
His unconditional love I felt is real (yeah)
nobody can love me like you do (yeah)
I’ll praise Him as I go

(Come on everybody put your hands together, say)

Chorus:

Jesus Loves my soul
(His love is patient)
In His mercy I am thriving
(His love is Kind)

In His glory I am risen
(Nobody can love me like you do)
To forever sing
He loves my soul

Jesus Loves my soul
(He’s not a man)
In His mercy I am thriving
(No one can understand His ways)

In His glory I am risen
(Do I got some witness tonight)
To forever sing
He loves my soul

(Ehh Jesus loves my soul)
Jesus Loves my soul
(Ehh in His Mercy I am thriving)
In His mercy I am thriving

(He never gives up on me)
In His glory I am risen
to forever sing (To forever sing)
He loves my soul ( He loves my soul)

(Oh oh oh yeah)
Jesus Loves my soul
(Everyday every moment, He holds me in His hands)
In His mercy I am thriving

(His love never ends)
In His glory I am risen (I am risen)
To forever sing (To forever sing)
He loves my soul (He loves my soul)

Everybody scream
Come on, His love is amazing
His love is everlasting
His love is overwhelming
Do we got some witness?

Somebody Scream
God’s love is amazing
God’s love oh oh oh
Everybody sing

Bridge:
God’s love Is Amazing (oh oh oh oh)
God’s love (Come on)
Everlasting

God’s love, overwhelming
God’s love (Everybody Scream)
unchanging (God’s love)

God’s love (That’s what is keeping me)
Is Amazing
God’s love (No one can love me like you do, no no no no)
Everlasting

God’s love
Overwhelming
God’s love (Everybody)
Unchanging

God’s love (God’s Love)
Is Amazing (Is amazing)
God’s love (Unending)
Everlasting (Overwhelming)

God’s love (Though I don’t deserve it still runs after me)
Overwhelming
God’s love
Unchanging (God’s love)

(Adlibs)
Oh oh oh yeah
That’s right

Verse 2:
One time
One time

Check
Come on
I never found a love like this
I never thought a man like me

would be loved by a God like (His) He’s
Watching right behind my scenes (sins)
Was troubled with my life crisis
Now I’m down on my knees

(Seven) 7 days like an adventist
With my head up to the skies overseas
they try to make me fall,
But you got me sky diving

And because it’s only by your mercies
I’m thriving, surviving
your love the only reason why I’m rapping
You never gave up on me

I’m vital
(Oh oh oh oh)
I see the reason why you saved my soul
Blessing me Double double

like each and every dice I roll
(Oh oh oh)
Watching While I play my role
God’s love got my life unfold

His love is (Oh oh oh oh)
overwhelming and the difference amazingly tells me
that He loves my soul enough to let me
partake in His mercy everlasting (Oh oh oh)

I was lost but then He found me,
never will I disappoint Him
Grab the mic, and then I’m telling
Woah!

(He loves my soul oh oh oh)
He loves my soul
(Yeah His love is amazing)
He loves my soul

(His love is everlasting,
Oh no no no have you ever seen a love like this)
He loves my soul
(Oh He loves my soul oh oh oh)

He love my soul
(He loves my soul oh oh oh oh yeah)
(Somebody scream)
(Oh no no no no no no no no no yeah)
