Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Magnetic Capacity Of Positive Character

Pastor Paul Enenche

Dunamis’ Seeds Of Destiny 14 March 2021 Devotional By Pastor Paul Enenche – The Magnetic Capacity Of Positive Character

TOPIC: The Magnetic Capacity Of Positive Character

Good character pulls the right people, opportunities and resources in your direction.

SCRIPTURE: …And Esther obtained favour in the sight of all them that looked upon her. Esther 2:15

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Good character pulls the right people, opportunities and resources in your direction.

Good character has been confirmed to attract favour. That is why we can see from our anchor Scripture that Esther attracted favour to her life on the ground of good character (Esther 2:15).

When Esther displayed the good character of contentment, it seemed like the eyes of everyone in the palace were fastened on her and she obtained favour. Character brings favour and favour helps in the fulfilment destiny.

Good character has magnetic capacity. Good character pulls the right people, opportunities and resources in your direction.

Bad character on the other hand repels. People run away from those with bad character. There is something that makes people to avoid those with bad character. When you come across people with bad character, especially loquacious people, many times, they say almost a hundred words in a second. And you become tired of their excessive talk. We had somebody like that when we were in the university. The moment you met this person, he would begin to talk ceaselessly as if he had verbal diarrhoea.

There are people who come to you and all they want to tell is what they have achieved. They are full of themselves. They may tell you, “Do you know how much I bought this wristwatch? I travelled to America two days ago to buy this shoe. Have you travelled before?”

Beloved, when you see such people, just avoid them.

So, good character attracts while bad character repels. Many people have been sacked (fired) from their jobs due to their bad character. They may even have good work performance to their credit but bad character sacked (fired) them.

Receive the grace for positive character in Jesus’ Name.

Remember this: Good character pulls the right people, opportunities and resources in your direction.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Go through today’s message once again.
  2. Make up your mind to embrace positive character.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for revealing Your Mind to me always. Help me to live a life of positive character, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE FORCES OF DESTINY (PART 3).

QUOTE: Integrity compels audacity and iniquity invites calamity. Culled from “15 KINGDOM STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: 1 Kings 20-22

AMAZING FACT: Bees communicate in 2 ways: the waggle dance, and through the use of pheromones.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Experience new levels of favour on the grounds of great character in Jesus’ Name.

Today’s devotional was written by Pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), headquartered at Abuja, Nigeria, with Pastor Paul and Becky Enenche, as the Senior Pastors. DCLM Daily Manna – Waiting For His Return

DCLM Daily Manna

DCLM Daily Manna 14 March 2021 Devotional by Pastor W. F Kumuyi – Waiting For His Return

TOPIC: Backsliding Is Damnable

TEXT: Psalm 78:54-62 (KJV)

54 And he brought them to the border of his sanctuary, even to this mountain, which his right hand had purchased.

55 He cast out the heathen also before them, and divided them an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.

56 Yet they tempted and provoked the most high God, and kept not his testimonies:

57 But turned back, and dealt unfaithfully like their fathers: they were turned aside like a deceitful bow.

58 For they provoked him to anger with their high places, and moved him to jealousy with their graven images.

59 When God heard this, he was wroth, and greatly abhorred Israel:

60 So that he forsook the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent which he placed among men;

61 And delivered his strength into captivity, and his glory into the enemy’s hand.

62 He gave his people over also unto the sword; and was wroth with his inheritance.

KEY VERSE: “Yet they tempted and provoked the most high God, and kept not his testimonies: But turned back, and dealt unfaithfully like their fathers: they were turned aside like a deceitful bow” (PSALM 78:56, 57).

MESSAGE:

Backsliding connotes relapsing or sliding back from a high altitude of faith in God to a debased state of faith in idols. It is going down from an elevated level of righteousness and holiness to a low and shameful level of sinfulness and depravity. It is throwing away the truth that saves and embracing falsehood. It is moving from the assembly of the living and joining the congregation of the dead. It is forsaking faithfulness and fidelity, and embracing unfaithfulness and licentiousness. It is rejecting Christ the Saviour and befriending the enemies of the cross.

Israel was God’s chosen people. They had graciously enjoyed His favour and mercy. He delivered them from the Egyptian bondage and brought them to the Promised Land, a land flowing with milk and honey. He fought their battles for them, fed them with angels’ food, and was a Father unto them. Unfortunately, they were unfaithful to God. They continued in their perpetual backsliding, provoked the Almighty to anger and moved Him to jealousy through their idolatry.

The consequence of their backsliding and unfaithfulness was that the Lord forsook them and they became easy prey to their enemies. He removed His presence from among them and made them to face disgrace, shame, pain and oppression from their enemies. They lost the abiding presence of God in their midst, so the enemies began to put them to flight.

After the Lord saves a believer and blesses him with spiritual blessings, if he turns back to sin, the end of such a person will be worse than the beginning. The Lord will forsake him. Soon, affliction, oppression, shame, disgrace, sorrow and regret will follow. This may lead to eternal doom in hell fire if repentance or restitution is not quickly sought. Sinners who repent and forsake their sins will equally enjoy pardon, favour and unfathomable blessing from the Lord.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Forsaking the Lord means embracing Satan.

[Music + Video] Last Minute God – Clarion Clarkewoode

Last Minute God - Clarion Clarkewoode

This song ‘Last Minute God‘ attempts to capture the works and ways of Jehovah God in my life. It tells of how He has consistently revealed Himself to me in diverse ways as the ever-faithful, ever-true, reliable, dependable, never-failing, ever-present, all-knowing and all-powerful God!

I am not ashamed to say here and now, that but for His grace, mercy and mighty arm of victory continuing to be actively present, and at work in my life publicly and privately, I should and could have been dead sleeping in my grave by now. I should and could have lost my mind by now!

Like the story of Shadrach Meshach and Abednego in the fiery furnace, and the last minute God (the fourth man) coming through for them, God has come through, seen me through and pulled me through countless situations that recounting here will make me both grateful and yet emotional.

I agree absolutely with Paul when he says in Romans 8:38-39 KJV: “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord”

May I recommend this unfailing, ever faithful ‘last minute God’ to you today? Try Him and you will never ever regret it. – Blessings,

Clarion Clarkewoode

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – The Defeated Devil

Pastor Paul Enenche

Dunamis’ Seeds Of Destiny 11 March 2021 Devotional By Pastor Paul Enenche – The Defeated Devil

TOPIC: The Defeated Devil

To be in charge always, you must know that you are dealing with a defeated devil. You are dealing with a fallen devil.

SCRIPTURE: And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Luke 10:18.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Jesus beat the devil. He made a public show of satan.

Previously, we saw that to have victory over the devil, we must always understand that we are dealing with a devil that has been defeated. One secret of exercising dominion over the enemy is the understanding of the fallen state of the enemy.

I give you an example: Many years ago, there was fight between Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson, two American professional boxers. Before the fight, Mike Tyson was the boxing title holder. He was the boxer in charge. When they fought, Evander Holyfield beat Mike Tyson and collected the title from him.

Now this is the point; that Evander Holyfield beat Mike Tyson does not mean that Mike Tyson cannot beat another boxer. It only means that Mike Tyson is under control where Evander Holy Field is present.

How does this apply to your life? Jesus beat the devil. He made a public show of satan. He defeated the devil. Jesus stripped the devil of all his power but the devil is still rampaging on the earth for those who do not know God and also for ignorant children of God who have decided to allow the devil have his way in their lives.

So, understand the fallen position of the enemy. To be in charge always, you must know that you are dealing with a defeated devil. You are dealing with a fallen devil. No matter how wicked the witches in your family or the wizards in your community are, always know that their father, the devil, is a defeated foe. This knowledge keeps the devil under your control.

Remember this: Jesus beat the devil. He made a public show of satan.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Walk in the consciousness of your victory in Christ.
  2. Refuse to be afraid of the defeated devil and all his agents.

PRAYER: Thank You LORD for the revelation of Your Word. From today, I receive the grace to exercise dominion over the devil, LORD, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: POWER TO TREAD.

QUOTE: Your life is meant to dismantle the structures of satan in your vicinity and wherever you step upon. Culled from “THOU ART MY BATTLE AXE” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: 1 Kings 11-13

AMAZING FACT: Honeybees have 170 odorant receptors, and have a sense of smell 50 times more powerful than a dog.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Go ahead and maintain the enemy’s defeat everywhere he is found in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Punishing The Wicked

DCLM Daily Manna

DCLM Daily Manna 11 March 2021 Devotional by Pastor W. F Kumuyi – Punishing The Wicked

TOPIC: Punishing The Wicked

TEXT: Judges 8:4-21 (KJV)

4 And Gideon came to Jordan, and passed over, he, and the three hundred men that were with him, faint, yet pursuing them.

5 And he said unto the men of Succoth, Give, I pray you, loaves of bread unto the people that follow me; for they be faint, and I am pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna, kings of Midian.

6 And the princes of Succoth said, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thine hand, that we should give bread unto thine army?

7 And Gideon said, Therefore when the LORD hath delivered Zebah and Zalmunna into mine hand, then I will tear your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with briers.

8 And he went up thence to Penuel, and spake unto them likewise: and the men of Penuel answered him as the men of Succoth had answered him.

9 And he spake also unto the men of Penuel, saying, When I come again in peace, I will break down this tower.

10 Now Zebah and Zalmunna were in Karkor, and their hosts with them, about fifteen thousand men, all that were left of all the hosts of the children of the east: for there fell an hundred and twenty thousand men that drew sword.

11 And Gideon went up by the way of them that dwelt in tents on the east of Nobah and Jogbehah, and smote the host: for the host was secure.

12 And when Zebah and Zalmunna fled, he pursued after them, and took the two kings of Midian, Zebah and Zalmunna, and discomfited all the host.

13 And Gideon the son of Joash returned from battle before the sun was up,

14 And caught a young man of the men of Succoth, and enquired of him: and he described unto him the princes of Succoth, and the elders thereof, even threescore and seventeen men.

15 And he came unto the men of Succoth, and said, Behold Zebah and Zalmunna, with whom ye did upbraid me, saying, Are the hands of Zebah and Zalmunna now in thine hand, that we should give bread unto thy men that are weary?

16 And he took the elders of the city, and thorns of the wilderness and briers, and with them he taught the men of Succoth.

17 And he beat down the tower of Penuel, and slew the men of the city.

18 Then said he unto Zebah and Zalmunna, What manner of men were they whom ye slew at Tabor? And they answered, As thou art, so were they; each one resembled the children of a king.

19 And he said, They were my brethren, even the sons of my mother: as the LORD liveth, if ye had saved them alive, I would not slay you.

20 And he said unto Jether his firstborn, Up, and slay them. But the youth drew not his sword: for he feared, because he was yet a youth.

21 Then Zebah and Zalmunna said, Rise thou, and fall upon us: for as the man is, so is his strength. And Gideon arose, and slew Zebah and Zalmunna, and took away the ornaments that were on their camels’ necks.

KEY VERSE: “And he took the elders of the city, and thorns of the wilderness and briers, and with them he taught the men of Succoth. And he beat down the tower of Penuel, and slew the men of the city.” – (Judges 8:16,17)

MESSAGE:

Succoth and Penuel allowed the fear of man to prevent them from participating in a just and reasonable cause. God appointed Gideon to fight the Midianites – the common enemy of His people. However, the people of Succoth and Penuel were too concerned about their safety and welfare that they refused to join forces with God’s chosen vessel to do His work. They had to suffer the consequences of their self-love and faithlessness.

It was right, moral and ethical to help Gideon but they refused because they did not see any personal benefits in doing so. More so, they showed no faith in God’s cause and disrespected the man He had appointed to do His work. They knew how to do good but did it not and were punished for their callous behaviour.

No one is excused from the work of the Lord. When we deliberately refuse to contribute our quota – time, money and talent – to help in the work of the Lord, we cannot escape God’s punishment. “And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes” (Luke 12:47). All who know what to do to be saved but refuse to repent shall be punished. Those who have the privileges to be warned often through the gospel, but do not repent and believe, cannot escape severe punishment. All the believers who know about the Great Commission but refuse to warn sinners by calling them to repentance shall not escape divine punishment.

We will fail to recognise God’s call to duty if we are blinded by selfish ambitions and interests. But certainly, we must face bitter consequences and receive severe punishment for failing to respond to the call of God.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Those preoccupied with self-will miss God’s call.
