DCLM Daily Manna – The Inward Change

DCLM Daily Manna

Topic: The Inward Change [DCLM Daily Manna 23 December 2020 Devotional By Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]

Text: Luke 19:1-10 (KJV)

1 And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.

2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.

3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.

4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.

5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.

6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.

7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.

8 And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.

9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.

Key Verse: “And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.” – (Luke 19:8)

MESSAGE:

A leper once lived in a village. Despite his grievous health condition, he was a successful farmer. Nearly every resident in the neighbourhood where he was living related with him afar off for fear of being infected. Likewise, children were warned against running errands for him. He was just living the life of a recluse.

This account is akin to the one in our text today. Zacchaeus, the chief of publicans, did not just see Jesus Christ from the sycamore tree. Jesus equally saw and commanded him to “come down; for today I must abide at thy house.” But the Jews were not happy at Christ’s decision because they saw him as a spiritual leper. At that time, the Roman Empire levied heavy taxes upon all nations under their control. The Jews opposed it because they saw it as a means of supporting its pagan gods and secular government. Zacchaeus was a high-ranking tax collector in the employment of the Roman Empire. Consequently, he was tagged a chronic sinner, who was oppressing the Jews and using his office to amass wealth.

However, Jesus Christ did not reason the way the Jews did. Rather, He could only see in Zacchaeus a stereotyped sinner ready to seek forgiveness and forsake his iniquities. While the religious Jews could only see a sinner doomed and going to hell, Jesus saw a sinner waiting for a Saviour and a way out of his dubious and pernicious ways of life. His declaration revealed the inward change that had taken place in him. Jesus Christ never condemned him, but received him.

As deeply as you may have gone into sin, Jesus will never reject you if you approach Him with an open heart. Invite Him to pardon all your sins and grant you His forgiveness and salvation. If you want Him to receive you as He did to Zacchaeus, you must be ready not just to receive external cleansing, but also inward cleansing.

Thought For The Day: Be cleansed both outwardly and inwardly.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Stewardship Accountability Before God

Paul Enenche

Dunamis’ Seeds of Destiny 22 December 2020 Devotional By Pastor Paul Enenche – Stewardship Accountability Before God

Topic: Stewardship Accountability Before God

Leaders, including public leaders, owe a duty of accountability before God, and must give an account of their stewardship on the last day.

SCRIPTURE: Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God. 1 Corinthians 4:1.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: One reason why some leaders misbehave while in office is that they are not conscious of their accountability before God.

Every single person owes a duty of accountability before God on the last day. And leaders, including public leaders, also owe a duty of accountability before God, and must give an account of their stewardship on the last day. So, as a leader, you will give an account of your stewardship before God (Romans 14:12).

Now, one reason why some leaders misbehave while in office is that they are not conscious of their accountability before God. It is the lack of accountability consciousness that makes some leaders to embezzle public funds and empty the treasury.

God will require of everyone, including every leader alike, the duty of accountability on the last day. For instance, as a local government chairman or a leader in the local government council, you will give an account of your leadership to God. When you maltreat people under you; engage in kidnapping, ritual killing and shedding of innocent blood to keep your position, you will give an account before the God who cannot be bribed.

As a governor or a leader in a state, you will give an account of your governance before God. You will give an account of how you spent the money belonging to your state government.

Are you a president of a nation or a holder of a key public office? You will give an account of how you utilized and managed the resources committed into your hands. You will give an account of how you took care of or maltreated the people that God put under your care. When you embezzle government’s fund and misrule the people, you will give an account. When you loot the treasury and allow people to wallow in poverty, hunger and suffering while you enrich yourself at the expense of their welfare, you will give an account to God who is the Consuming Fire, on the last day.

Beloved, it is good to be aware of this so you can lead and serve well as a public officer.

Remember this: One reason why some leaders misbehave while in office is that they are not conscious of their accountability before God.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. As a leader, be always concerned about the welfare of the people under you.
  2. Don’t embezzle public resources and allow people to suffer because you are a leader or a person in a position of trust.
  3. Devise strategies to enhance people’s welfare as a leader or a person in a position of trust.

PRAYER: O Lord, thank You for the privilege of leadership. I ask for forgiveness in any way I have mismanaged the opportunity. I ask for grace to lead people right and not take advantage of them for my personal gain, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: INEVITABLE APPOINTMENT AND INESCAPABLE JUDGEMENT.

QUOTE: As believers we are expected to come under the headship, leadership and direction of Jesus Christ as our Shepherd, Lord and Saviour. Culled from “14 SECRETS PLUS ONE TOWARDS A SWEET MARRIAGE” by Dr. Becky Enenche.

DAILY READING: 1 John 1-3

AMAZING FACT: If an identical twin lacks a certain tooth, the other twin will not have that tooth either.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Receive the grace to be faithful in your assignment in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Jesus The Healer

DCLM Daily Manna

Topic: Jesus The Healer [DCLM Daily Manna 22 December 2020 Devotional By Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]

Text: Luke 18:31-43 (KJV)

31 Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.

32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:

33 And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again.

34 And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

35 And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way side begging:

36 And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.

37 And they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.

38 And he cried, saying, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

39 And they which went before rebuked him, that he should hold his peace: but he cried so much the more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

40 And Jesus stood, and commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him,

41 Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.

42 And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.

43 And immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.

Key Verse: “Saying, What wilt thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.” – (Luke 18:41)

MESSAGE:

John Graham Lake, a healing and preaching minister, once said the object of healing “is health, abiding health of body, soul and spirit. The healing of the spirit unites the spirit of man to God forever; the healing of the soul corrects psychological disorder and brings the soul process into harmony with the mind of God. And the healing of the body completes the union of man with God when the Holy Spirit possesses all.”

Our text dwells on the account of a blind man, who was begging by the wayside in Jericho. He heard the multitude passing by and demanded to know what was happening. They told him that “Jesus of Nazareth passeth by.” Incidentally, that was the last time Jesus would pass through Jericho before going to Calvary. He started shouting, “Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.” Even when he was told to hold his peace, the blind man continued calling for Christ’s attention. At last, Christ heard his cry for mercy.

Unlike other blind persons in Jericho at the time Jesus Christ was passing through, the blind man seized the opportunity. He did not only receive healing to his blind eyes, but also the salvation of his soul. However, it never occurred to other blind fellows to come to Jesus for their salvation and sight. They all lost out.

Today may be your last opportunity to hear about Jesus Christ, the Healer and Restorer. Do not miss this great chance. Like the blind man, cry out to Him and never entertain distraction from any quarters.

Thought For The Day: Christ Jesus is the only true Healer.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Keys To Experiencing Divine Preservation

Paul Enenche

Dunamis’ Seeds of Destiny 21 December 2020 Devotional By Pastor Paul Enenche – Keys To Experiencing Divine Preservation

Topic: Keys To Experiencing Divine Preservation

Establishment in righteousness is a key to Divine preservation.

SCRIPTURE: In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. Isaiah 54:14.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Establishment in righteousness is a key to Divine preservation.

In our previous studies, we have looked at insights or lights from Scripture that guarantee Divine preservation in God.

Today, we shall look at three keys to experiencing Divine preservation.

Now, what should you do to experience preservation by God?

  1. Be Established in Righteousness

Establishment in righteousness is a key to Divine preservation. (Isaiah 54:14).

But it must be made very clear that God’s promise of covering you with His righteousness does not give you the license to live anyhow and still expect His righteousness to cover you. You have to be established in uprightness like Job (Job 1:1, 8). Hate evil; be on the path of righteousness.

  1. Refuse to Fear

In any form or guise that fear comes, resist it. Do everything you can never to give any place to the devil through fear (Job 3:25). Most of the news and things we hear today are the things that put life permanently under tension and pressure. But refuse to fear.

  1. Condemn the Voices of Accusation

Every voice that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). You are the person to condemn every voice of confrontation against you, not your pastor, or your prayer partner.

If you hear people in your dream saying some terrible things about you, wake up in the morning and condemn those voices with your mouth. God has made you the judge over litigation situations of your life. When the voice is condemned, the speaker is condemned. When the voice is condemned, the voicer is condemned and doomed.

Remember this: Establishment in righteousness is a key to Divine preservation.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to be established in righteousness.
  2. Refuse to fear; and be ready to condemn every voice of accusation against your life.

PRAYER: I receive Your grace, Lord for my establishment in righteousness. Help me to resist fear and empower me to condemn every voice of accusation against me, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: NO WEAPON FORMED.

DAILY READING: 2 Peter 1-3

AMAZING FACT: Human skin is completely replaced about 1,000 times during a person’s lifetime.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: Every spell/cloak of fear on your life today is destroyed in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Paying The Price

DCLM Daily Manna

Topic: Paying The Price [DCLM Daily Manna 21 December 2020 Devotional by Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]

Text: Luke 18:18-30 (KJV)

18 And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

19 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? none is good, save one, that is, God.

20 Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.

21 And he said, All these have I kept from my youth up.

22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

23 And when he heard this, he was very sorrowful: for he was very rich.

24 And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God!

25 For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

26 And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?

27 And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

28 Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee.

29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God’s sake,

30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.

Key Verse: “Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me” (Luke 18:22).

MESSAGE:

A story was told of one Giuseppe Garibaldi who set out to deliver his country from external aggressors. He came across some idle young folks and told them to join forces with him against the aggressors. They asked him what would be their gain if they joined him to fight the war. He said: “I offer you neither pay, nor quarters, nor provisions. I offer you hunger, thirst, forced marches, battles, heat. Let him that loves his country truly follow me”. And they followed him.

Our text focuses on Christ’s encounter with a young, rich ruler. The young man had power and prestige. He was equally wealthy. Yet, he never knew the way to eternal life. At a point, he approached Christ and sought to know the qualification of getting to heaven. After an exhaustive dialogue, Jesus Christ asked him to sell all he had and follow Him.

But the ruler could not pay the price. He never knew that securing eternal life requires following Jesus Christ. The price was too much for him to pay. His wealth and riches were his problems. He never knew that the greatest security any man could have in this world is to come under Christ’s eternal protection and preservation.

Jesus Christ said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” This message is instructive enough to shape your life’s direction. It re-emphasises the need to focus on Him alone. Do not make money or education your god.

Nothing should be too high or great to give up in order to gain heaven. Nothing should be too difficult for us to surrender for the sake of heaven. It is not what we have given up that really matters, but the rewards that await us in heaven at last. We must, therefore, strive to follow the narrow way. At the end, we shall surely know we have not followed Christ our Lord in vain.

Thought For The Day: No price is too much for the heavenly mansion.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Standing In The Righteousness Of God

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis’ Seeds of Destiny 19 December 2020 Devotional by Pastor Paul Enenche – Standing In The Righteousness Of God

Topic: Standing In The Righteousness Of God

God uses His Righteousness to shield and defend you against the conspiracies and confrontations of the enemy.

SCRIPTURE: No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord. Isaiah 54:17.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: God uses His Righteousness to shield and defend you against the conspiracies and confrontations of the enemy.

From our anchor Scripture, we understand that the righteousness of the children of God is of God. This means, God allocates His children His righteousness to defend them. This is another light that guarantees Divine preservation.

From our anchor Scripture, God is saying to you, “It is not your righteousness that I use to speak for you in the face of enemy confrontation; it is my own righteousness that the enemy can’t stand that I use.”

This means, in case the devil tells you that your commitment to God slacked a little sometime back, and so you deserve to be attacked; and the devil wants to capitalize on that to finish you, God says, “I will stand and tell the devil to give way. I will defend you with my righteousness. I loan you my righteousness. And since the devil cannot fight me, he cannot fight you. I am the One to determine your stand and not satan.”

Beloved, God uses His Righteousness to shield and defend you against the conspiracies and confrontations of the enemy. Your forefather may be an idol worshipper who might have made some demonic covenants in the past that are affecting you today; but the truth is, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature. God spreads His righteousness on you to defend you.

My counsel is, do not place your faith in your own right. Place your faith in the Mercy of God alone because the mercy of God is our helpline in the earth and our lifeline throughout eternity.

Remember this: God uses His Righteousness to shield and defend you against the conspiracies and confrontations of the enemy.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Place your faith in the righteousness of God.
  2. Ask God to defend you in the face of conspiracies and confrontations of the enemy.

PRAYER: Thank You Lord for Your word to me today. I place my faith in Your righteousness Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

QUOTE: He that breaketh the hedge – the hedge of righteousness and integrity, the serpent will bite. Culled from “15 KINGDOM STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: James 5-1 Peter 2

AMAZING FACT: Teeth are the only part of the human body which cannot heal themselves.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION/WORD: May the righteousness of the LORD shield you this day in Jesus’ Name.

Today’s devotional was written by Pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC), headquartered at Abuja, Nigeria, with Pastor Paul and Becky Enenche, as the Senior Pastors. DCLM Daily Manna – A Humble Heart

DCLM Daily Manna

Topic: A Humble Heart [DCLM Daily Manna 19 December 2020 Devotional by Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]

Text: Job 34:31-37 (KJV)

31 Surely it is meet to be said unto God, I have borne chastisement, I will not offend any more:

32 That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.

33 Should it be according to thy mind? he will recompense it, whether thou refuse, or whether thou choose; and not I: therefore speak what thou knowest.

34 Let men of understanding tell me, and let a wise man hearken unto me.

35 Job hath spoken without knowledge, and his words were without wisdom.

36 My desire is that Job may be tried unto the end because of his answers for wicked men.

37 For he addeth rebellion unto his sin, he clappeth his hands among us, and multiplieth his words against God.

Key Verse: “That which I see not teach thou me: if I have done iniquity, I will do no more.” – (Job 34:32)

MESSAGE:

The world would have been a better place today had people imbibed the attribute of being humble like Christ Who emptied Himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of man to die for our sins.

In our passage, Elihu pointed out two cogent facts. First, that God does not judge unjustly. Second, whosoever confesses his sins and humbles himself before Him will receive pardon. He would want sinners to see that He had borne their chastisement because of their sins. Having reproved Job, Elihu now instructs him of what he should say under his affliction. “If I have done iniquity, I will do no more”. I will not offend anymore. Elihu brings Job to the knowledge of the universality of human suffering and affliction in this sinful world.

Nobody is immune to affliction. Often, affliction comes in various ways. It could be in form of sickness as it happened to Job in our text. At times, it could be in form of failure in life as the case of Jabez (1 Chronicles 4:9,10). It could be inability to procreate after marriage like Abraham and Sarah (Genesis 11:30). It could be in the form of broken homes, satanic oppressions, or even delay in marriage. It could be persecution as it happened to Paul in his ministry. Whichever one you may be experiencing, Christ our Lord is up to the task for He has borne all our infirmities including our afflictions on the cross at Calvary, and by His stripes we are made whole.

All we need to do is to humble ourselves before God. Examine yourself and find out the cause of your affliction. If there is sin in your life, be humble enough to acknowledge it and then seek God for forgiveness. Pray for divine intervention and do not play in the corridor of sins again.

Thought For The Day: His grace is enough for me.

God Of Miracles – Bolaafola

God Of Miracles - Bolaafola

UK based Nigerian Gospel music minister Bolaafola is out with a new single apt for the yuletide season. She titles this  one “God Of Miracles.”

It is no doubt that Jesus is the greatest miracle the world has ever seen, and in this season as we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus, Bolaafola reflects on the greatest miracle that makes every other miracle a possibility.

She does this with a sense of gratitude and worship. The Contemporary Worship single will stir your spirit into the atmosphere as you open the door to endless possibilities through submission in gratitude.

“Get ready to meet the God of miracles, signs and wonders,” Bolaafola said. She quoted from the book of Psalm 77, verse 14, which says: “‘Thou art the God that doest wonders: thou hast declared thy strength among the people.’

“Are you expecting a miracle? It’s not too late. He is the God who keeps His promise. When He says a thing, it surely come to pass, let your worship exalt His holy name. Merry Christmas to you,” she concluded.

“God Of Miracles” is coming following the release of “Your Love,” off the EP “I Shall Not Die,” which dropped in August of 2019. Bolaafola is an indie UK based Gospel artiste. She is the host of the programme “In Marriage,” and the CEO of Bola’s Place.

It marks the debut of a new sound and sets the course for a series of releases to come by which the recording artist aims to inspire people through his music production and creativity. This Afro pop / Contemporary track is simple and catchy and possibly addictive. The chorus line; “fix my eyes on you..” sticks out, leaving traces of its melody on your mind. The chorus was inspired by the lyrics of Ada Ehi in her 2020 single (Fix My Eyes On You).

“My Desire is simply to share and inspire people with the sounds, songs and creativity that God has given me through music. I made up my mind that I would let it all out, I want to look back on these few years and know that I brought out all God put in me and used it to inspire people, young and old.” – Mark Ogbeni

“Eyes On You” is available for Download and Streaming on all Digital Stores and Music Promotional Platforms and Blogs.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Areas Of Accountability Before God

Paul Enenche

Dunamis’ Seeds of Destiny 18 December 2020 Devotional By Pastor Paul Enenche – Areas Of Accountability Before God

Topic: Areas Of Accountability Before God

One day, you will give an account of your relationship with your Maker – how you related with Him in prayer, fasting and in the study of the Word. You will be asked on that day: “How was your relationship with your Creator while you were on earth?”

SCRIPTURE: So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God. Romans 14:12.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A day will come when you will tell God what you did with your life while on earth.

The Scripture makes it clear that a day will come when everyone will give account of their life before God (Romans 14:12). A day will come when you will tell God what you did with your life while on earth.

Now, I will like you to take note of four areas of accountability before God.

  1. Accountability of your relationship with your Maker (Romans 14:12).

One day, you will give an account of your relationship with your Maker – how you related with Him in prayer, fasting and in the study of the Word. You will be asked on that day: “How was your relationship with your Creator while you were on earth?”

  1. Accountability of your time and your resources (Romans 14:12).

An accountability of how you spent the resources God gave you will be demanded of you on the last day. If you lived carelessly without regard for time or you squandered Divine resources on pleasure, that day, you will give an account.

  1. Accountability of your relationship with your fellow human beings (Romans 14:12).

You will also give an account of how you related with your fellow human beings. The quality of your relationship with people will come under Divine judgment.

  1. Accountability of your life’s assignment (Romans 14:12).

On the last day, God will ask you how you carried out your life’s assignment or handled your public service.

So, maximise your life for God while you are still alive.

Remember this: A day will come when you will tell God what you did with your life while on earth.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Make up your mind to invest quality time in maintaining quality relationship with your Maker.
  2. Use your time and resources to the glory of God and the benefit of mankind.
  3. Take your life’s assignment and your relationship with people very seriously.

PRAYER: I appreciate You Lord for Your heavy Word to me today. I ask for the grace to pay close attention to my relationship with You. Help me to live my life and spend my time and resources to glorify You, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DAILY READING: James 2-4
