TREM Devotional – God Will Perfect What He Started

Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 6 May 2024 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – God Will Perfect What He Started

TOPIC: God Will Perfect What He Started (TREM Devotional 6 May 2024)

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” Philippians 1:6 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

You didn’t start your life. Your salvation was never your idea. And there is nothing the enemy throws against you that can stop what God has begun in you. Be confident of this very thing, that He has begun a good work in you. You are a good work in progress. And He says He will perform it until the day of the Lord. In other words, your end is glorious. Your end is colourful! Believe it! Never believe in what the enemy is saying or doing in your life. You are entering into a season of greatness. You are stepping into a season of divine intervention. You are stepping into a season of the manifestations of God’s grace in your life.

Be confident that if He started it in you, He will complete it. That is the promise that God has given to us. Every influence of the wicked is nullified in your life. God’s hand is mighty upon your life. Yes, the devil will come against you in diverse ways, but he can’t hinder the good work that God has begun in you. Don’t lose focus. God didn’t make any mistake. Regardless of the challenges confronting you, the hand of God is mightily upon your life.

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.” Psalm 34:19 (KJV). This is the assurance we have in Him. He will deliver you from afflictions and frustrating encounters. Deliverance is coming to you.

You see, when you make up your mind to live your life for God, the devil will not play dead. There are things you will suffer in the flesh. But the good news is that God has already ambushed the devil ahead of time. The last laugh belongs to you. The devil does not have the last laugh.

DCLM Daily Manna – The Depth Of His Mercy

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 6 May 2024 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — “The Depth Of His Mercy”

TOPIC: “The Depth Of His Mercy” (DCLM Daily Manna 6 May 2024)

KEY VERSE: “He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities”(Psalm 103:10).

TEXT: Psalm 103:6-12 (KJV)

6 The Lord executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.

7 He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.

8 The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

9 He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.

10 He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.

11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

MESSAGE:

A young man who had broken his father’s rules limiting his movements in the community refused to return home one night, afraid of the punishment awaiting him. He sought refuge in the nearby residence of his father’s close friend. He told his host that his father was a temperamental man. In his anger, he would scourge him in excess of his wrongdoing. He pleaded with him to allow him to stay away from such an injury inflicting parent that night.

Christians with a perfect understanding of the relationship they have with their heavenly Father do not harbour such misgivings. They know that, as emphasised by today’s text, God’s mercy and grace run deeper than our faults and failures. He loves His faithful children such that He would appropriately chasten them when they err. He would not pamper them. He would not want their sin to take them into eternal perdition in hell. So, as they realise their transgression and seek forgiveness, He returns them graciously into His warm embrace, giving them more grace to live the overcoming life.

Only an exceptionally loving Father would not reward us “according to our iniquities”. Not one soul can stand His full wrath if it should come upon man. His holiness would not stand sin. Though He is gracious and merciful, we must not take this for granted or as a liberty to indulge in sin.

As we receive the mercy of our gracious God, we should express our appreciation by constantly staying away from sinful acts, thoughts and appearances that offend and provoke Him. Pleasing the Lord all the days of our lives must become our priority. And we receive grace to do this as we pray.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
God’s grace embraces us in our inadequacy and strengthens us with His mercy for righteous living.

TREM Devotional – The Devil Does Not Have The Final Say

Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 4 May 2024 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – The Devil Does Not Have The Final Say

TOPIC: The Devil Does Not Have The Final Say (TREM Devotional 4 May 2024)

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.” 1 Peter 5:8-9 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

The devil doesn’t have the final say in your life. God is still on your side. He will never leave you nor forsake you. He will fight your battles and silence the voice of the enemy that is coming against your life.

The Lord will arise on your behalf and frustrate the devices of the wicked. To frustrate is to make plans or efforts of no avail. It means to defeat, to disappoint to thwart, to nullify, to hinder, to prevent, and to upset. You will defeat every attack of the enemy against your destiny. If you have been a target of these devilish attacks, don’t throw up your hands in surrender to your adversary. Whether the devil likes it or not, the double portion is what God has planned for you. God will give you double for all your troubles.

Beloved, this is your defining moment! Don’t ever believe in the lie of the devil. The devil doesn’t have the final word. You serve the Alpha and Omega. He is the Beginning and the End. He is the First and the Last. When He shuts a door, no one can open it. And when He opens a door, no one can shut it. So, the devil cannot have the final say. Get ready to receive your portion.

You may have suffered setbacks and frustration, but that is not the final word in your situation. Don’t give up. The devil doesn’t have the final say. That is why you must resist him. Resist him until he flees from you. You are coming out of that difficult situation. You will not stay there any longer. Whatsoever is frustrating you in any area of your life is terminated. Things will turn around in your favour. Your ground will answer to you, and you will not end in disgrace.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Love Sinners Unto Salvation

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 4 May 2024 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Love Sinners Unto Salvation

TOPIC: Love Sinners Unto Salvation (Seeds Of Destiny 4 May 2024)

SCRIPTURE: For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth anything, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love. Galatian 5:6

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: When love is in place, there is no price that is too big to pay in saving a sinner.

MESSAGE:

Many years ago, a young man told me a heart-touching story of his life. He was an armed robber; he engaged in all kinds of atrocities. Beside this, he was into the consumption of all manner of hard drugs, including Indian hemp and the likes.

Every time he returned home from robbery, his mother would tell him, “My son, you are wasting your time in robbery. You are a pastor; you are not an armed robber. You are a man of God, not a thief.”

The young man would reply his mother, “What are you talking about?” and dash out of the house for his usual robbery activities.

One day, he went to a place in the Northern part of Nigeria alongside his gang to rob. It happened that this particular robbery operation was not successful. The law enforcement agency killed all his fellow robbers. He was the only one who escaped. He said that he didn’t know how he jumped through a huge fence and landed on the other side. This was because it was a very high and “un-jumpable” fence. That was how God delivered him from death on earth and eternal damnation in hellfire. He later became a pastor according to the prophecy of his mother.

You see, the faith of his mother worked by love. Even though he was living as a robber, his mother continued to release love towards him. Many times, his mother’s statement imply something like, “Any other child may decide to be a robber and die as a robber, but not the one I gave birth to.”

What a lesson! His mother loved him and that love provoked faith in her to keep praying for him until he became a pastor. Love in the heart would provoke and sustain faith for the salvation of sinners.

Beloved, I counsel you to release love towards sinners; let your love for sinners provoke faith in you to pray for their salvation. When love is in place, there is no sinner that is too bad to be saved. When love is in place, there is no price that is too big to pay in saving a sinner.

REMEMBER THIS: When love is in place, there is no price that is too big to pay in saving a sinner.

ASSIGNMENT:

  1. Like Jesus Christ, release love and compassion towards the salvation of sinners despite their sins.
  2. Let love propel you to always pray and reach out to the unsaved.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the baptism of a deep compassion for sinners. I receive the grace to pray and reach out to them in love and compassion, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: THE PLAGUE OF LOVELESSNESS (PART ONE)

QUOTE: One of the worst things that can happen to a person is to be gripped by bitterness.
Bitterness is the source of countless spiritual and physical problems in millions of lives today. Culled from the book, “Am I Bitter?” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Job 28-30.

AMAZING FACT: The brain’s storage capacity is unlimited as the brain consists of 86 billion neurons and these neurons form connections to others, rounding up to a total of 1,000 trillion.

PROPHETIC WORD (DECLARATION): I decree the flow of love in a new dimension in your heart today, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Time For Praises

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 4 May 2024 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — “Time For Praises”

TOPIC: “Time For Praises” (DCLM Daily Manna 4 May 2024)

KEY VERSE: “Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD”(Psalm 150:6).

TEXT: Psalm 150:1-6 (KJV)

1 Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.

2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.

3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.

4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.

5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.

6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.

MESSAGE:

Thomas Watson said, “Praising God is one of the highest and purest acts of religion.” It is appropriate that the Bible’s great poetic collection, having God’s limitless power as its dominant theme, should end with a call to praise God. The Psalms reveal the promises of the loving Lord and how those who rest on His word in moments of need can, without fail, get divine help.

As the book closes, the writer of this musical composition says there should be an assembly of all known musical instruments to adore the God who is responsible for the joy resulting from the testimonies. The entire psalms cover different aspects. There are historical psalms that speak of national deliverances. Then there are those that give reassuring promises to the believer in the Lord. Still, there are messianic psalms that foreshadow the coming of Jesus Christ and His everlasting reign. For all these, the psalmist wants “every thing that hath breath [to] praise the LORD”.

Serving God is incomplete without a constant disposition to praise Him. Every day is a good time to hail Him as our Creator. We do not enjoy fulfilment until we express gladness in Him. He says, “This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.” Not adoring Him at all times, therefore, amounts to the sin of disobedience.

Praising God is not conditioned by the sentiment of emotions or by external variables of the economy, changes in government etc. The Lord counsels the redeemed to give “thanks always for all things unto God…” This form of praise is most acceptable and pleasing to the Lord when it rises from a heart saved by grace and lips sanctified and consecrated to God.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Praises raise us to levels where we sense God more

TREM Devotional – The Devil Is The Enemy

Bishop Mike Okonkwo

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 3 May 2024 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – The Devil Is The Enemy

TOPIC: The Devil Is The Enemy (TREM Devotional 3 May 2024)

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

Today, the devastating effect of the activities of the adversary is everywhere. There is no place in the world where these effects of the enemy cannot be found. The effects can be found in families, businesses, health and through natural disasters. There is hardly any aspect of human endeavours that is not affected by the activities of demonic forces. It is like the devil has unleashed his venom on the earth currently. But always remember that your victory over demonic forces is guaranteed in Christ.

The word “enemy” speaks about a person who feels hatred for something. That enemy is the devil. The devil hates you with a passion. He wants to harm you. He engages in antagonistic activities against you. And he is not just fighting blindly. He is well organized.

The devil is a hostile being. He wants to unleash hostility against your life. He is an arch-enemy. He is an assailant. He is an attacker. He is a bandit who wants to rob you blind. He is a murderer. And he is a terrorist.

As bad as the devil is, the good news is that you are victorious. You are above Him. But to enforce your victory, you must never play games with your prayer altar. The fire must be burning upon your altar. Stand your ground and frustrate his devices.

You are going to part the waters. Nothing will hinder you. Nothing will stop you. Nothing will be a barrier to you. You will cross the lines. You are a barrier breaker. You will do the impossible. You will succeed.

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional – Who Is Benefiting From Your Existence?

Seeds Of Destiny Devotional

Dunamis Seeds Of Destiny 3 May 2024 Devotional By Dr. Paul Enenche: Who Is Benefiting From Your Existence?

TOPIC: Who Is Benefiting From Your Existence? (Seeds Of Destiny 3 May 2024)

SCRIPTURE: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. MARK 12:30-31.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: It is a waste of life when no one benefits from your existence.

MESSAGE:

A major mark or indicator of a worthy life is living for the benefit of both humanity and eternity. It is living a life that is of great benefit to people.

Sometime ago, a senior military officer, an Air Commodore came to see me in my office with his daughter. He pointed to his daughter and said to me, “This girl is your fan. She is crazy about what you do. She told me, ‘Daddy, what I want you to do for me is to take me to see the pastor.’

When I saw the girl, I couldn’t believe my eyes. Right in my office, she was filled with excitement and jumping. She brought a book and asked me to autograph it for her.
She called me, “My spiritual father, my mentor, my role model.” I autographed the book for her, and then, her father wanted us to take a photograph together, and we gladly did.
You see, people like this girl are many around the world.

The lesson to learn from this is: it is a waste of life when no one benefits from your existence.

Beloved, I want you to ask yourself: How many people is my life impacting? Is my life impacting the people around me positively?
There is a member of our domestic staff whose children attend the same school with my children. At a point, the school increased the school fees and he couldn’t pay his children’s school fees.

I told him, “Don’t ever think about your children’s school fees as long as God positions you in this house. We will trust God to pay your children’s school fees.” The school fee is in five zeros per child, and he has three children.
Beloved, don’t be self-centred. Live to impact others.

Remember this: it is a waste of life when no one benefits from your existence.

ASSIGNMENT:

  1. Refuse to live for yourself all alone.
  2. Live to impact people in your generation.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You deliver me from self-centred living. Help me to live to impact my generation and people around me, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

FOR FURTHER UNDERSTANDING, GET THIS MESSAGE: WHAT CONSTITUES A WORTHY LIFE

QUOTE: The overflow is given to help facilitate generational impact with the resources of God. Culled from the book, “21 Uncommon Keys To Financial Overflow” by Dr Paul Enenche.

DAILY READING: Job 25-27.

AMAZING FACT: The human brain is made up of 60% of fat.

PROPHETIC WORD (DECLARATION): Grace to impact your generation be released to you now in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna – Sin’s Trajectory

Pastor W. F. Kumuyi

DCLM Daily Manna 3 May 2024 Devotional By Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Sin’s Trajectory

TOPIC: Sin’s Trajectory (DCLM Daily Manna 3 May 2024)

KEY VERSE: “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat” (Genesis 3:6).

TEXT: Genesis 3:1-13 (KJV)

1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

8 And they heard the voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God amongst the trees of the garden.

9 And the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?

10 And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.

11 And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?

12 And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.

13 And the Lord God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

MESSAGE:

It was a freezing February 1925 day in Kentucky. What started like fun for a famed American cave explorer became a monumental tragedy for Floyd Collins and his community. For 18 days, Collins was trapped 125 feet below ground in an ice-cold space, 8 inches high and 12 feet long. When rescuers finally reached him, it was too late for the 37-year-old, and his frozen dead body had to be buried in the Sand Cave.

For Adam and Eve, it looked like fun eating the forbidding fruit, but death was the consequence, in line with God’s initial warning. The lure of sin presents a soothing, pleasurable prospect for the tempted. Unfortunately, death and disobedience are not strange bedfellows. In our text, God gave Adam and Eve simple and understandable instructions about the dos and don’ts in the Garden of Eden. Eve understood God’s instruction from her conversation with the serpent, but her desires plunged her into agreeing with it.

Sin’s course over the ages has always been the same. According to our text, the woman saw the object of desire and ate it; then, she persuaded her husband, Adam, to join in the sinful pleasure. Unsurprisingly, sinful souls entice others to partner in their evil deeds today. Evil has always sought company. Unfortunately, the sinful consequences do not spare the one lured into the sin and the one who lures others into it. God punished Adam, Eve and the serpent that seduced them into sin.

No matter how seemingly pleasant and pleasurable sin or its promised prospects may look, it always has a deadly consequential bite. Therefore, everyone must avoid it at all costs. Sinners should turn over to Jesus for the eternal remedy. Failure to do so will attract regret for all eternity.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
A bite at sin inflicts a deadlier bite on the biter.
