In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Gospel singer Dare Justified shared the sad news of his father’s passing. Elder Matthew Aderoju Ogundoyin passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, in Lanlate, Oyo State.
Dare, who has touched many lives with his powerful worship and uplifting messages, expressed his deep gratitude for his father’s life and faithfulness to God.
In his emotional tribute, Dare thanked his dad for nurturing him in the ways of the Lord and described him as a passionate follower of Christ who served wholeheartedly until his final breath. “This really hurts, but it is heaven’s great gain,” he wrote.
The Gospel music community quickly rallied around Dare, with fellow artists including Bukola Bekes, Moses Bliss, Tosin Bee, Deborah Ajayi, Okopi Peterson, Efe Nathan, Naomi Mac, and Yadah offering their heartfelt condolences in the comments.
Elder Matthew Ogundoyin is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and siblings. Burial arrangements will be announced soon as the family gathers to honor his memory.
