Topic: The Mentality for Destiny Realisation [Saturday January 14, 2017]
“And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two and gave them power over unclean spirits.” (Mark 6:7)
Jesus sent out his disciples in twos. He did that so that when one is weak, the other one would give him strength. Also, He did it so that when one falls down, the other one would lift him up. And when they attack one, the other one would stand with him. By so doing, they will be able to stand together. Your help is on the way.
In Numbers 13, Moses sent out twelve spies, but in Joshua 2, Joshua sent out only two spies. Moses sent twelve but Joshua, his apprentice and successor, sent two. And that is because he learnt something from Moses’ mistake.
Moses made a mistake. He sent out twelve men. Unfortunately, ten were not helpers. Only two were. Now, do not misunderstand me God can give you one hundred helpers. But help is not necessarily defined by numbers. Help is defined by quality.
Not everybody who laughs with and smiles at you is your helper. Moses sent out twelve men. Ten amongst them were wicked. Let me tell you what I feel about those ten men: They probably already nursed grudges against Moses in their hearts. And Moses made the mistake of choosing them. They were supposed to be helpers. They got there, they saw the fruits, they ate the fruits, and they brought some back. But when they came back, they stirred up fear and turmoil in the Church. They asked people not to follow Moses, saying Moses was deceiving and misleading them.
Starting today, the LORD will begin to expose all the fake helpers around you. You will begin to know your genuine helpers.
