I Am Justified By His Blood 2 ~ Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor

Topic: I Am Justified By His Blood 2 [Friday 3, February 2017]

“Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death – that is the devil.”

(Hebrews 2:14)

If you have spilled innocent blood, it is crying out against you. It is calling for vengeance that you cannot avoid. Wherever you go, God will meet you there.

The Bible says that the blood of Jesus speaks better things. I like that. In Romans 5:9, the Bible says, “Much more then, being now justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.” So, the blood of Jesus is saying, “You are justified.” To be justified means to be declared innocent. Because you have turned away from your sins by the conviction of the Holy Spirit, God has forgiven you and declared you not guilty.

One of the tricks the devil uses to keep people under his control is to make them feel guilty for sins they have already confessed and forsaken. He burdens them with a guilty conscience. For example, some people committed adultery but confessed it to God, repented and turned away from it. Yet, every time they want to pray, they will hear a voice saying, “Who are you praying to, you adulterer?” And this has greatly hindered their prayer life.

It may be that you were a thief in the past or that you were a liar. Thank God, you have repented and asked Him to forgive you. If the devil calls you an adulterer, a thief, or a liar again, tell him to shut up. If you have repented, the devil has no power over you. The blood of Jesus has declared you innocent.

WORD OF WISDOM: Clear conscience comes to you when you know what the Blood has done for you.

PRAYER/CONFESSION:  LORD Jesus, I come to you today as a sinner. Deliver me from the power of guilty conscience, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
