Topic: Is David Your Example? [Friday May 26, 2017]
“This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” (Gal 5:16)
David, according to Bible scholars, was between 14 and 18 years old while Goliath was about 40. Goliath was a giant and an experienced warrior but David was just a boy who had never fought a conventional battle in his life. Goliath was militarily well armed. David had no weapons except a mere catapult and five stones. Given this scenerio, there was no way David could have faced Goliath in the natural and be expected to win. In the same vein, you cannot face your Goliath in the flesh. He is more subtle, more experienced, more equipped, and older than you! Don’t you know that the devil was created before you?
Goliath was so infuriated by David’s presence that he threatened to feed David to the birds. Some people have threatened you. Humanly speaking, they are correct but like Goliath, they are talking like human beings. Take a cue from David. Don’t respond to them as a human being. There is something supernatural about you. Remember that there is a pipe connected from the Source to your inner man: The olive tree is pumping oil (the anointing from above) into your life. No power, difficulty, or sickness can dry up this oil. “It is not by might, nor by power, but it is by My Spirit saith the LORD!” Goliath, a symbol for disease, witchcraft and mountains must come down. God is alive!
Word of Wisdom: You cannot fight the devil with fleshly weapons.
Prayer/Confession: My Father and my God, I reach out to you by faith. I connect to the pipe from heaven and I receive the oil of the anointing to destroy the works of the flesh and walk in the Spirit. I receive the strength to continue to walk on Your word according to Zech. 4:1-7, in Jesus mighty name! Amen!!
