Kick Ignorance Out The Door ~ Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor

Topic: Kick Ignorance Out The Door  [Friday April 14, 2017]

“And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.” (Exo. 14:15-16)

The negative power that ignorance exercises over a person can keep him or her in prison and confusion. In the book of Exodus, Moses led Israel out of Egypt. Shortly after their departure, right there in front of them was the Red Sea. To their left and to their right, were mountains. The most unsettling thing was that, the Egyptians were bearing down on them from behind.

This is a typical case of having trouble on every side. In my close to forty-four years in the ministry, I have come to understand what it means to be surrounded by trouble on every side. It is not what anybody should pray to experience. When Israel saw their dilemma, they cried to Moses, who in turn cried to God.

Replying in Ex. 14:15-16, God said to Moses, “Why have you turned to me for help when the solution to your problem is in your hands?” The solution to Israel’s problem was in Moses’ hand but he did not know it. The tragedy of today is that many Christians are suffering although the rod of solution is in their hands, because they are ignorant of the answer that’s staring them in the face. The Holy Spirit is your Teacher. Ask Him to come and teach you what you need to know today.

Words of Wisdom: Ignorance will hinder you from utilizing the rod of solution in your hand.

Confession/Prayer: Father, open my spiritual eyes to see the solution to my predicament
