Apata Ayeraye - Odunayo Akintomide

Gospel music minister Odunayo Akintomide has released a powerful new worship song titled “Apata Ayeraye,” a faith-filled declaration that points listeners back to God as the ultimate refuge, protector, and source of safety.

Built around the biblical truth that “The name of the Lord is a strong tower” (Proverbs 18:10), “Apata Ayeraye” carries a deeply spiritual message of unwavering confidence in God, regardless of human strength, wisdom, wealth, or earthly resources.

The song opens with a declaration of faith before drawing inspiration from Psalm 20:7: “Some trust in chariots and some in horses; we will trust in the name of the Lord.” Through its blend of English and Yoruba lyrics, Akintomide repeatedly emphasizes the decision to run to God, the “Apata Ayeraye” — the Everlasting Rock.

The Yoruba refrain, “Mo sa wọ inú Rẹ lọ” (“I run into You”), serves as the heart of the song, expressing the believer’s response to life’s uncertainties: to seek refuge in God.

“Apata Ayeraye, mo sa wọ inú Rẹ lọ”
“Everlasting Rock, I run into You.”

As the song progresses, Akintomide presents God as more than a refuge He is described as a rock, safety, keeper, and the One in whom believers can confidently place their entire lives.

The song also echoes the assurance of Psalm 91, declaring that even when thousands fall around the believer, God’s protection remains certain. Its lyrics proclaim faith over fear, divine protection over danger, and confidence over uncertainty.

Odunayo Akintomide’s latest release invites listeners to move their confidence away from human abilities and place it firmly in the Lord the everlasting Rock who never fails.
