Topic: Obeying Instructions Provokes God’s Blessing [January 9, 2017]
“Be not deceived: God is not mocked: for whatever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” (Galatians 6:7)
The bible says, “… and by His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5c)This is an instruction. What the passage is simply saying is that when a person feels sick, he or she is expected to act or demonstrate that he or she is healed. This is because it is an instruction, which when obeyed, brings down the blessing of healing from God.
“And the Lord appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: sojourn in the land, and I shall be with thee, and will bless thee; and unto thee, and unto they seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I swear unto Abraham thy father.” (Genesis 26:2-3)
The above passage contains the instructions that God gave to Isaac. Beloved, I want you to understand that obeying God’s instructions require some element of faith. You must understand that the blessings of God are released because of the amount of faith you exercise in God’s word. How well you follow instructions is an indisputable pointer to how much faith you exercise.
“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundred fold and the Lord blessed him.” (Genesis 26:12)
God did not ask Isaac to sow. He merely told him not to leave the land. Isaac’s action demonstrated solid faith in God. And that is what God blesses. What instructions have you heard or read from God’s word? Today demonstrate your faith in God by taking His word to the next level. Nothing will stop results from flowing back to you.
