Releasing Yourself From Your Past – Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor

Topic:  Releasing Yourself From Your Past [Friday 6, January 2017]

“The Lord our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, ye have dwelt long enough in this moment.” (Deuteronomy 1:6)

The children of Israel held on to their past. You must learn to put the pain of the past behind you and forge ahead. One of the things that will hinder you from your new beginning is refusing to let go the pains of the past. You should understand that there is no human being born of a woman who does not face difficulties in life. Holding on to your past indicates that you don’t have a future.

The future you are looking for has left your past. It is right in front of you. The success of that business is no longer in the past. It is right in front of you. That victory, job, child, or spouse you need is no longer in your past. See it right in front of you and grab it. The fact somebody molested you in the past does not make it the end of your life. See the beautiful end you have in the new life in Christ.

The expected end in this new life is to live in unending abundance, divine health and continuous advancement. It is to have a joyful home.

“And when they had fulfilled all that was written of Him, they took Him down from the tree, and laid Him in a sepulcher.” (Acts 13:29)

Jesus fulfilled His destiny while on earth. You will fulfill yours. Nothing can stop you. People will try to stop you and even the devil will try, but they cannot.
