TOPIC: Believe In God, Believe Also His Prophet (Seeds Of Destiny 26 August 2023)

SCRIPTURE: And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper. 2 Chronicles 20:20.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Obedience to God and to your prophet is key to prosperity.

MESSAGE:

Sometime ago, I was talking to a group of businessmen. I told them, “The Church, the Body of Christ, should have the most impactful billionaires on earth because in every generation in the Bible, the wealthiest and most influential people were covenant people. And these were covenant people who believed and strictly obeyed covenant principles. But today, God’s people negotiate God’s instructions.”

You know, the Voodoo and Hindu believers are not so. They do strictly what their priests tell them to do. Other religions also do strictly what their leaders tell them to do, but people in church tamper with the instructions of their priest.

For example, when a man gives an offering of 20 Million Naira in church and receives a harvest of One Billion Naira, he may think he has done someone or the church a favour. And, so he expects the church and the pastor to bow down to him in appreciation.

The Christian businessman does not always do what he is instructed to do, yet he is wondering why he is not at the same level with his fellow businessmen who are not believers.

An unbeliever businessman would always service an altar, and do it faithfully. He would follow the dictates of the priests of those altars religiously.

If the people of God must rise to take their place in God, they must believe the Lord their God to be established, and also believe their prophets so they can prosper (2 Chronicles 20:20). Obedience to God and to your prophet is key to prosperity.

Beloved, receive the grace of obedience to prophetic instruction. I curse every spell of empty-handedness in your life. From today, unspeakable supernatural supply is your portion, in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS: Obedience to God and to your prophet is key to prosperity.

1. Refuse to negotiate or analyse Divine Instructions.
2. Make up your mind to obey God’s instructions strictly so you can see God’s Power at work in your life.

PRAYER: Lord, deliver me from the temptation of negotiating Your instructions. I receive the grace to obey Your Word through Your prophet, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
