TOPIC: Value For Divine Guidance And Direction (Seeds Of Destiny 21 December 2025)
SCRIPTURE: For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Romans 8:14.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The absence of direction is the presence of disaster.
MESSAGE
It has been confirmed that Divine guidance and direction is key to fulfilment in life and destiny.
Psalms 23:1-3 says, The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
That is, even if you want to stray into disaster, God will pull you back because He is the one leading you. He leads you in the ways of righteousness.
In Proverbs 22:3, we see that A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished. The wise man who is guided foresees evil and hides. Call him a guided man or a prudent man. On the other hand, the simple-minded, the uninformed, the one who does not follow instructions, simply moves on and suffers punishment. The uninformed man suffers consequences because he cannot foresee what lies ahead.
I remember the testimony of a young man whose employee organized for him to be killed. He was tricked into believing that he was dealing with businessmen, not knowing that they were killers. They took him to the bush and shot him, and his intestines gushed out. He said while going for that “meeting”, the Spirit of the Lord kept telling him, “Must you do every business? Must you agree to do everything? Is it everywhere they call you that you must go?” But he said he was already on his way. It took the Mercy of God for him to survive the attack.
Please note these:
- The absence of direction is the presence of disaster.
If God is not leading you, you will encounter troubled waters. He cannot restore your soul if He is not the one leading you. - The absence of direction is the abundance of destruction.
There were those who went on journeys they were not meant to go on. There were those who entered relationships they were not meant to enter. Nothing in this life is compulsory except to make heaven. No business appointment is compulsory. Someone may say, “Oh, I have already fixed the wedding date.” The question is, can the marriage continue after the one who just got married died?” You shall not die before your time, in Jesus’ Name.
Beloved, please understand that the people you are so concerned about, the ones for whom you are forcing yourself to do the things you are not meant to do, will continue with their lives if anything happens to you. Whenever you do anything that causes you to lose your peace, do a U-turn. Don’t be too sentimental about anything. Don’t live your life by sentiment; live by principles.
Remember this: The absence of direction is the presence of disaster.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
- Take time to pray for Divine direction before any major life decision.
- Do not ignore the restraint of the Holy Spirit regarding any course of action you want to embark on.
PRAYER: Lord, thank You for Your Word to me today. Help me not to take any step You have not approved. Lead me in the path of peace and preservation, Lord in Jesus’ Name.
