Scripture: Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime. Daniel 6:10.
Thought For The Day: Your private devotion is useless until it is matched with public confession of God.
It is very important to understand that children of God are designed to be the light of the world. They are to take a stand for God in their generation. They are not designed to be at the mercy of the people of the world but to control their world for God.
Daniel was one person who put his generation under the control of Divine influence. He was in charge of the wise men, magicians, astrologers, administrators and politicians.
One of the things that made Daniel to rise in Babylon was the demonstration of his complete trust and confidence in the Almighty God publicly.
Unlike Daniel, there are many Christians in our world today, who cannot take a public stand for God. Daniel demonstrated unwavering trust and confidence in God; he was ready to die instead of denying his faith. And God did not disappoint him.
Beloved, your private devotion is useless until it is matched with public confession of God. Any man that will go far with God is the man that will allow his own identity to be swallowed up in God.
Beloved, determine to be like Daniel.
