He is best known as one of Africa’s most culturally unique and successful Gospel Artiste in recent years. Preye Odede and his Script Music Crew are known for their unique blend of culture in intimate worship, which comes with excellence and a melodious style of worship in diverse African languages especially Nigerian languages.

Preye Odede is not only known for the success of “Ebezina”, a song of hope meaning “Don’t Cry” but many inspiring indigenous and non-indigenous melodies have been churned out of the rich cache of inspiration of the sensational Gospel music minister. Singles such as “Oshimiri Atata“, which describes God as “The Fountain That Never Runs Dry”, “Idinma“, which means “You Are Good” and most recently, “For My Good” have been met with wide acceptance and rave reviews.

The sophomore album “Ready”, which followed “My Script” also boast of brilliantly composed tracks that have birthed many testimonies including, “Ready,” which is the album title track, “You are Holy,” “I will Restore,” “Bulie (Remix)” featuring international Gospel music minister of “Baba” fame, Sonnie Badu and many more.

Songs from the “Ready” album have received so many local and international awards and the album has recently been nominated as the outstanding Album of the year at the Maranatha Global Worship Music Award 2019 in Kenya.

Attention is being paid to the cultural uniqueness of his songs and its spiritual content, (Preye Odede takes his prophetic unction very seriously and this can be heard all over his music with prophetic declarations coming up intermittently).

Apart from the music ministry which Preye Odede is known for, in a bid to connect with his environment beyond his music, his philanthropic and evangelism outreach mission has also been imprinted in the hearts of the under privileged with his “low key” scholarship scheme. His prison outreach meets the needs of inmates and extends the message of the gospel to them by providing materials ranging from food, cloths, toiletries etc. in Port Harcourt and also working towards reaching to other states.

On the 7th of June 2019, Preye Odede launched a movement themed “The Move” with his first ever live recording concert in Ghana, alongside Tim Godfrey, Prosper Ochimana, Joe Mettle and Akesse Brempong, and is on his way to taking the Gospel of oneness, hope through collaboration and music to the rest of Africa.
