The Evil Must Get Their Reward ~ Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor

Topic: The Evil Must Get Their Reward  [Monday April 3, 2017]

“And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty….”(Ex 34:6-7)

If you don’t know God, you better know Him now. He never changes. He is who He is today, Whom He has always been. Evil people don’t get their reward quickly because God is merciful and longsuffering but He will by no means clear the guilty. The evil person must get his reward.

Judges 19:23 tells us that God sent an evil spirit. It wasn’t God that sent it but He permitted it. God permitted the spirit to come between Abimelech and the men of Shechem. They were partners but turned against each other.

Abimelech happened to be under a tower during a war and a woman dropped something on his head. It was a stone! That was what killed him. He killed seventy men with a stone, and by a stone, he died. In Judg. 9:54, he called one of his boys and said to him, “Draw your sword and thrust it through me so that they won’t say it was a woman that killed me,” But the whole world saw what happened. His head was badly shattered and he would have died anyway. Who was that small boy to thrust his sword into Abimelech if not for that stone?  It was a woman that killed him and she did it with a stone. Everything he took by the stone of the spirit of deception came upon his head by spiritual fire through one small stone.

Your head is not for a stone. It is for a crown that you will wear sitting on a throne.

Words of Wisdom: He who sows the wind reaps the whirlwind.

Confession/Prayer: Father, use the same stone they have been using on me to bring about their destruction, in Jesus’ name.
