Topic: The Rod In Your Mouth [Saturday April 15, 2017]
“Through faith we understand that the world were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” (Heb 11:3)
One of the most important spiritual rods that you have is the power of your words. Do not underestimate the power of your words. You are partly a product of your words. You can either constrain or construct your life by the words of your mouth. In addition, you can kill or make alive with the power of your tongue.
“Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.” (Prov. 18:21)
“Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.” (James 3:10)
Lending credence to the above assertions, Jesus Christ Himself said, “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” (Mark 11:23)
Did that say something to you? If you say a thing, you will have whatever you say. That of course is if you do not have contradictory views afterwards. There is perhaps no weapon more efficacious in dealing with life’s issues than prayer. Powerful as prayer is, it has only one neutralizer, and that is contradictory words. If you say anything that is not in agreement with your prayer, your prayer may not work for you.
Words of Wisdom: Your mouth is a weapon of mass construction or destruction.
Confession/Prayer: LORD, there is power in my word. My positive words, I command you to produce results in line with what I have spoken, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
