Topic: They Will Confess [Sunday February 19, 2017]
“Except the God of my father, the God of Abraham, and the fear of Isaac, had been with me, surely thou hadst sent me away now empty. God hath seen mine affliction and the labor of my hands, and rebuked thee yesternight.” (Gen 31:42)
A woman had three children, a son and two daughters, who were about the same age with me. The son was doing very well but his sisters were struggling. Their situation was so bad that they begged to eat. No one could explain what was wrong with them. This went on for over twenty years. Then suddenly, the man took ill. With time, the sickness degenerated and his body became swollen. And six weeks later, he was smelling.
His family members gathered and concluded that something wasn’t right. So, they went to him and said, “You must tell us what you did.” He kept quiet and said nothing for a while. But after some time, he opened up and told them that he was a wizard. He further told them that his mother initiated him into witchcraft and that every night in their coven, he had sex with her. He said through that contact, everything that should have gone to his sisters became his. After confessing, he died. One thing you must know is that the reasons people die are many and varied. Therefore, not every death you hear or know about should make you cry.
By the fire of the Holy Ghost, I command everyone that has been responsible for your predicament to confess now! If they refuse to confess and repent, I commit their lives to the devil.
WORDS OF WISDOM: Dependence on man is the gateway to sorrow and emptiness.
PRAYER/CONFESSION: LORD, I will not go empty-handed. Let my glory return to me. Let my wealth and wages be delivered to me. I shall be the head and not the tail.
