TREM Devotional – Christ Paid With His Blood

Wisdom For The Day Devotional 27 February 2025 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Christ Paid With His Blood

TOPIC: Christ Paid With His Blood (TREM Devotional 27 February 2025)

“In whom we have redemption through His blood even the forgiveness of sins:” (Colossians 1:14 KJV)

MESSAGE:

Divine expository dictionary states the word redemption means to ‘buy out’, especially of purchasing a slave with a view to his freedom. It states that it is to buy for oneself. If we have redemption, therefore, we are free. Jesus redeemed us for Himself. Therefore, the devil has no right over our lives. Jesus bought us back for Himself. And when you buy something, you buy it for yourself and you protect and fight to defend that thing.

To redeem also means to release by paying a ransom. Jesus paid your ransom in full. He completed the payment, and said it is finished. Jesus wouldn’t have given up the ghost if the payment was not complete. He paid with his blood for your ransom and for your release.

I want you to know today, that you have been released from every bondage. You have been released from every curse including generational curse. There is nothing like generational curse for anyone in Christ because Jesus took them away. “…Christ paid the full price to set us free from the curse of the law. He absorbed the curse completely as he became a curse in our place. For it is written: “Everyone who is hung upon a tree is cursed.” Jesus Christ dissolved the curse from our lives, so that in him all the blessings of Abraham can be poured out upon gentiles. And now through faith we receive the promised Holy Spirit who lives in us.” (Galatians 3:13-14 TPT)

Your redemptive package is complete. No matter what the captivity is, you have been released. The handcuffs have fallen! The chains are broken! The prison door is open! It is time to come out! Your redemption has freed you from every distress and harm. You are free from captivity because Jesus has paid the ransom. Your redemption is to help you overcome anything that is detrimental. In other words, you have been made free from anything that will inflict pain or death.
