TOPIC: Don’t Accept The Swapped Blessing (TREM Devotional 1 April 2024)

“And when I rose in the morning to give my child suck, behold, it was dead: but when I had considered it in the morning, behold it was not my son, which I did bear”. 1 Kings 3:21 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

Some believers are functioning with a swapped result. The word swapped means exchanging, trading, or substituting one thing for another. It means to replace with another.

In our text, the two women had their babies. One of the babies died at night, and the dead child’s mother swapped it. People fight for their lives over what is not true because they accept a swapped result. I have heard about people who died because they went for tests, and the medical personnel unintentionally swapped their results. Immediately they get such results, everything changes in negative. I am very much convinced that some people who purportedly died of certain viruses did not die because they had those viruses. They died because of what they were told. That is why you must be careful of the type of information you feed yourself on.

Some teachers will write a child off as a failure and someone who can never succeed just because the child failed an exam. I love the story of Thomas Edison, whose teacher tagged him a failure, but his mother named him a genius, and he grew up to be that genius his mother called him. Parents, what do you call your children? Sow the right seeds in their hearts.

Don’t be a complacent believer! Don’t accept just anything as normal. I love it when believers know their rights and go for them. The woman in our Bible passage did not accept what she was given. She considered it. She didn’t just take it like that, saying that is how it should be or that she cannot do anything about it, which is what some believers will do.

Beloved, you must refuse whatever result the enemy is showing you that is contrary to what God has said concerning you. Stand by the Word. Believe the Word. Stand on the Word. Declare the Word. Refuse anything contrary to the Word of God and see God bless you abundantly. I will hear your testimony.
