Wisdom For The Day Devotional 9 February 2024 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – Go In This Thy Might

TOPIC: Go In This Thy Might (TREM Devotional 9 February 2024)

“And the LORD looked upon him, and said, Go in this thy might, and thou shalt save Israel from the hand of the Midianites: have not I sent thee?” Judges 6:14 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

God looked upon Gideon and said, “Go in this thy might”. In other words, look inward. There is might in you. Christ in you is the hope of glory. When Christ is in you, it is a confident expectation that glory is your portion. “Go in this thy might.” You cannot fail!

Gideon replied: “O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed, my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.” (Judges 6:15 NKJV). And the Lord gave Gideon an assurance: “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.” (Judges 6:16 NKJV)

When you are sure of God’s presence, you neither shake nor fret, no matter the devastating condition you find yourself. God does not jump ship! He stays right there with you. And He does not abandon His own. God is with you. “You shall defeat the Midianites as one man.” In other words, even though they are multitudes, you will destroy them as one man. Fight them as though you are fighting one man. Stop looking at the multitudes. “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (II Corinthians 5:7 NKJV)

Go in this might of yours! Grace is coming upon you. You will bring down every Midianite that has been harassing your life. Every attack is terminated. Every invasion is terminated! The siege is over in every area of your life. The hand of the enemy against you is removed. The hand of the Lord is upon you.
