Topic: Stand Tall For Jesus [17th July 2018 Daily Devotional]
“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.” 2 Timothy 3:1
As we begin to climax the age, one of the things we will keep on noticing and experiencing around us in the society we live in, is the increase of evil. It is part of the package that will herald the rapture of the church. It is part of the signs of the end time. It is vitally important that believers, like never before, would make up their minds and make a choice to walk in the integrity of the Word of God. No matter what it will cost you, you don’t have an option. There is so much compromise going on today in the body. There is a contention by the forces of darkness to try to silence the forces of righteousness. But the believer must decide that no matter what, we will stand tall for Jesus.
We are in a situation where some people publicly demonstrate asking that a bill be passed in support of homosexual marriages, like it has been done in some other developed nations.
When people are no more ashamed for what in the past used to make people shameful; know that the evil day is here. What it means is that if this kind of law is passed, they will possibly now decide to try to force the church to wed male and male. That is the evil days we are in. In other words, while putting up our clips on the television concerning marriages, we will say John weds James. Every attempt is being made by satanic forces to silence the forces of righteousness. That is why homosexuality, lesbianism and child abuse are on the increase.
I believe, however, that God has a remnant that will stand for righteousness. There must be a remnant that will refuse to compromise their stand for Jesus, even at the threat of their lives. We must have that, otherwise, there is nothing to live for. You must make up your mind as a child of God to stop playing church. Decide that if need be that you’ll have to lose your life because of your stand; so be it.
