TOPIC: What God Requires From You Is To Believe (TREM Devotional 4 August 2023)

“Jesus said unto him, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Mark 9:23 (KJV)

MESSAGE:

Jesus told the man whose son has a dumb spirit that all he needed to do for the son to be healed was to believe. Never doubt the promises of God. Between the promises of God and the manifestations, God does not require you to do anything to make it happen. God has already put in place what He promised ever before making such promise; it has been concluded. What He requires from you is to believe. But many times, we miss out on God.

All you need to do to connect with what God has promised you speedily is to just believe. You don’t need to start struggling and wondering how it will happen. Be still and know that He is God. Between amen and manifestation, what you are expected to do is to be still.

Another thing to do is to begin to thank Him for the promises. You don’t begin to fret, stress, and become anxious about how it will happen. According to the book of 2 Chronicles chapter 20, three nations came against King Jehoshaphat and his people. What did the King do? He went to the house of God. If you look at his prayers, he didn’t start by saying Lord I am in trouble. He started to thank God. He gave glory to God first. He declared His Almightiness and he began to remind God by taking God’s word back to Him. He said look, these people have come against us, and I don’t have what it takes to confront them.

Maturity in God is the ability to say to God I cannot, but you can. The more mature you are in God the more you see how weak you are. The King eventually asked God to judge the three nations, and God gave Jehoshaphat victory at the end of the day. Thank God, believe Him, and be still. Don’t try to use your ability when you are waiting between your amen and the manifestation of God’s promises.
