TREM Devotional 14 March 2022 By Bishop Mike Okonkwo – You Are An Ambassador

TOPIC: You Are An Ambassador

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. – 2 Corinthians 5:20 – KJV

Every believer is an Ambassador for Christ and for the Ministry. Wherever you find yourself, you are a representative of Christ. He wants the world to see Him through you and that is the only way to make a formidable impact in your world from the Kingdom.

Who is an ambassador? An ambassador is simply a representative. If you are in any country as an ambassador, wherever you are, it is like the country is there. If you notice, embassies in foreign mission respect the happenings in their home country. If there is a public holiday declared in a home country, the embassy observes it even in the foreign mission. They stay abreast of everything happening in their country and ensure they comply, the same is true for us. We must stay in tune with the word of God. We are to bring heaven down to our locality and this must show in everything we do. So, if the service you are about to render is not acceptable to God, you cannot render it, because you are governed by a higher law.

An ambassador lives in the constant realization of who he is and the country he represents. There is no off-guard moment. That is why Paul said in Romans 14:8 – KJV “For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.” so the life you live is not yours, it is for the One who paid the supreme price for you. I, therefore, challenge you to live a life worthy of Him who bought you with His blood.

As a member of this family, live every day in the consciousness of the fact that you are His Ambassador. Let the light of Jesus shine in and through you that the world may see your good works and give glory to your Father in Heaven.
