Gospel recording artist, VaShawn Mitchell shared his testimony on BET’s Joyful Noise on how he became a successful solo artist. The Nobody Greater singer credits his ability to be a “servant” first with his success.
VaShawn came out of Chicago’s own, Sweet Holy Spirit Church under the leadership of Bishop Larry Trotter, where he first started writing songs for the church choir before venturing out on his own, but not before asking permission from his Bishop.
