‘War Room’ Producers And Cast Reunite For Livestream Event

War Room

On Friday, May 8 at 8:00 PM EST / 5:00 PM PST, the creators of the #1 box office hit, War Room, will host a live-stream movie watching event for audiences on Facebook and YouTube the day after the National Day of Prayer. Writers, Alex and Stephen Kendrick and key cast members will reunite to share behind-the-scenes commentary and encouragement during a viewing of WAR ROOM along with a unified time of prayer after the film. Multiple digital retailers are discounting the film so that fans can easily rent or watch their own copy while joining into the live- stream.

In response to the COVID-19 worldwide pandemic, this live-stream serves as inspiration to isolated families and a rally cry to those who believe in the power of prayer. Alex Kendrick, the movie’s director, said, “Our hope is to greatly encourage people in these challenging times and remind them to go to God in prayer – knowing our world needs it so desperately.”

The virtual event is planned one day after the National Day of Prayer, an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May since 1775, where people of all faiths are invited to come together and pray.

Stephen Kendrick, the movie’s producer said, “We love watching films with close friends and sharing insider information and funny, behind-the-scenes stories. Now we get to join the amazing cast from War Room and share this experience with families right where they are. It’s also a good time to remind everyone to get on their knees, as Ms. Clara does in WAR ROOM, and fight this battle together in prayer.”

For those who don’t already own the film, starting on Tuesday, May 5th, multiple retailers are offering limited time discounted pricing of $2.99-$3.99 on the purchase of the digital version of the film to coincide with the special event.
