Topic: You Are Blessed In Your City [Monday February 6, 2017]
“… And these blessings come on you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God.” (Deut.28:1-2)
God outlines in Deut. 28:1-14 the blessings that will come upon anyone living in obedience to His word. The very first blessing is, “You are blessed in the city.”
The Bible did not state any particular city. As for me, the city is Warri. If you walk diligently before God, His blessings will pursue and overtake you in the very city you live. Wherever you live, you will be above and not beneath. You will be the head and not the tail.
In that same Deut. 28, God says, “I will establish you.” This means three things: He will bring your dream to reality, give you a future, and give you a name in the city.
In Judges 11, the Bible talks about Jephthah, a young man with a dream of greatness. But his people fought his dream, conspired against him, denied him his inheritance, rejected and excommunicated him from his community. They closed the door of greatness against him. However, God’s Word cannot fail.
Jephthah means the LORD will open another door. It took a while. Then the Bible says“… in the process of time….” Time is the factory that processes your destiny. God is the only One who processes time. Whatever you are believing God for is being processed. You name it. There is a procedure for everything. Just keep your eyes on Jesus and let God finish the process.
God will surely lift you up. It does not matter what anybody is saying or doing to you now. Just hold on and look unto God. Your story shall surely change.
WORD OF WISDOM: What they do does not matter, what you do matter to God.
PRAYER/CONFESSION: Every bondage of the enemy in my life, I command you to break, in the name of Jesus. Father, process my time so everyone will see your great work in me, in Jesus’ name.
