Topic: You Are On Assignment [Thursday May 18, 2017]
“Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.” (Rom. 12:11)
Whatsoever you do in the church, you are on assignment. You may be an usher or a chorister. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a member of the Sanitation, Angels, or Transcription ministries. You are on assignment. Take note of this very well. If God wants to give you what you don’t have, He will give you an assignment. What is your assignment?
If you have not yet received Jesus into your life, you need to do so today. After you have done that, find an assignment for yourself in the church. Do it fervently and God will visit you.
This year, you have to understand ‘assignment’. That is the key to your breakthrough and success.
“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” (Prov 22:29)
This year, if you are hot about your assignment, you will not rub shoulders with ordinary people because a promotion will come to you. I don’t need to act funny for you to know I’m a prophet. No promotion will come without an assignment.
You won’t be the first person to carry out God’s assignment. There was a time, they were looking for Jesus and when they found Him, he said to them, “… How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?” (Luke 2:49) Business is a synonym for assignment. In other words, He was saying. Didn’t you know I would be carrying out my father’s assignment?’ Jesus remains our shining example. He was always close to God’s altar.
Word of Wisdom: If God wants to give you what you don’t have, He will give you an assignment.
Prayer/Confession: In the name of Jesus, this year, I will diligently follow my assignment with my whole heart. And so LORD, in the name of Jesus, promote me.
