Speed ~ Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor

Topic: Speed [Thursday March 2, 2017]

“And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.” (Gen 24:1)

Speed means to be swift, fast, quicken, in haste, or without delay. Speed is a factor that affects every area of our lives. Everything in the cosmos (universe) is governed by the principles of speed.

There are four seasons in the life of every human being. Morning Season: This is from 0 to 18 years. Afternoon Season: This is from 18 to 40 years. Evening Season: This is from 40 to 60 years. Night Season: This is from 60 to 120 years. All four seasons take permission from no one before happening. Life is moving and waiting for nobody. Wake up from your slumber. All human beings living in the midst of the aforementioned seasons fall under four groups.

Group 1: Those in this group die without recording any achievement at all. They have no real ambition or urgency about anything and are just contented to get by. As long as they have the basic human needs, they are okay. A good example is Aaron. He lived for 123 years but recorded no major achievement (Numbers 33:39).

Group 2: In this group are those who record a major achievement but get it at the night season. An example is Abraham. His first encounter with God was when he was 75 years old. He had his first child Ishmael at 86, and the second, the child of promise, Isaac, at 100.

You will not get to the night season before you record a major breakthrough. At the night season, you will sit back and enjoy your grand and great-grandchildren. This is my prayer for you. Go get your speed from God’s altar. Go!

Word of Wisdom: Life is moving and waiting for nobody.

Prayer/Confession: Father, I will not wait until the night season. Give me good speed now.

Further Reading: Num. 33:39.
