Everything In Life Is A Seed ~ Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor

Topic: Everything In Life Is A Seed [Thursday January 12, 2017]

“While the earth remaineth, seed time and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” (Gen. 8:22)

Everything a person does in life is a seed. When you give, it is a seed. When you don’t give, it is as well a seed. Good words are a seed, and so are bad words. Love is a seed, and no less so is hate. Wickedness, as much as kindness, is a seed. Just as an orange tree cannot produce the banana fruit, a person that sows wickedness cannot reap kindness. When it happens, it means God has been mocked. And God cannot be mocked.

Always remember that whatsoever you sow is what you will reap. Don’t blame anybody for what you reap. Everyone in life sows into two things: the flesh and the spirit.

“For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the spirit shall of the spirit reap life everlasting.” (Gal. 6:8)

This speaks of motive. Is the good you are doing driven by the desire to receive man’s praises or because you want God’s blessing? When you sow to the flesh, you live by the world’s standard. When you sow to the spirit, you live by God’s standard. Every day of your life, let your motives be pure. Even your motives are a seed.

You will not fall into the trap of the devil today. Those who have set a trap for you will fall into their own trap and those who have dug a pit for you will fall into the same pit. Every seed you sow with the right motive today shall yield you a more than a hundredfold harvest.
