Topic: God Is Not Limited (1): Flesh [December 10, 2016]
“Yea they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.” (Psalms 78:41)
God has many powerful names in the Hebrew language. His name is interpreted as, “El-shaddai” which means, the more than enough God; the limitless God.
Before you were formed in your mother’s womb, God took the pains to reserve enough to meet your spiritual, physical, psychological and your material needs. He heals, delivers and blesses.
I know your thoughts are probably flashing back to those areas of your life that do not conform to God’s limitless sufficiency and you are saying to yourself: “If He is not limited, why have I been struggling with deprivation, poverty and lack?”
The truth is that God does not change from being God, the problem is you. You have to change your lifestyle to suit Him. The only one that has the power to limit God when is you. In Psalms 78:41, the Israelites limited God when they turned back. One of the things that limited God in your life is when you turn back to those things you left in the world; when you obey your flesh. The flesh speaks about your actions, thoughts and every word you utter that displeases God.
When your flesh prevails over you, the hand of God is limited in your life.
